Fen bilimleri dersinde vücudumuzdaki sistemler ünitesinin öğretim materyali kullanılarak işlenmesinin akademik başarıya, kalıcılığa ve tutuma etkisi

Bu çalışmanın amacı 6. sınıf fen bilimleri dersinde yer alan 'Vücudumuzdaki Sistemler' ünitesinde, öğretim materyali kullanımının akademik başarıya, kalıcılığa ve derse karşı tutum üzerine olan etkisini incelemektir. Çalışma deney ve kontrol gruplu ön test-son test içeren yarı deneysel desen kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2023-2024 eğitim öğretim yılında Konya ili Beyşehir ilçesinde bulunan bir ortaokulda 6. sınıf düzeyinde öğrenim gören 62 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Dersler her iki grupta 6 hafta ve 24 ders saati süresince işlenmiş, kontrol grubunda dersler Fen Bilimleri Dersi Öğretim Programının önerdiği yöntem ve tekniklerle işlenirken, deney grubunda bu yöntemlere ilave olarak öğretim materyalleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak 'Vücudumuzdaki Sistemler' ünitesine yönelik 'Akademik Başarı Testi' ve 'Fen Bilimleri Dersine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği' kullanılmıştır. Uygulama süreci tamamlandıktan 6 hafta sonra 'Akademik Başarı Testi' kalıcılık testi olarak tekrar uygulanmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler SPSS programında t-Testi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin istatistiki analizleri sonucunda, araştırmaya katılan öğrencilere uygulanan eğitimlerin hem deney hem de kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin akademik başarı ve fen bilimleri dersine yönelik tutumları üzerinde belirleyici ve olumlu etkilerinin bulunduğu, öğrencilerin akademik başarı ve derse karşı tutum puanlarında anlamlı bir yükseliş meydana geldiği ve deney grubundaki öğrencilerin ortalama puanlarında kontrol grubundaki öğrencilere göre daha yüksek düzeyde artış gerçekleştiği belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonunda, konuyla ilgilenen uzman, eğitimci, akademisyen ve öğrenciler için bazı öneriler geliştirilmiştir.

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of using instructional materials on academic achievement, permenence and attitude towards the course in the 'Systems in Our Body' unit in the 6th grade science course. The study was carried out using a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest with experimental and control groups.The study was conducted using a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest with experimental and control groups. The study group consisted of 62 students studying at the 6th grade level in a secondary school in Beyşehir district of Konya province in the 2023-2024 academic year.In the control group, the lessons were taught with the methods and techniques recommended by the Science Curriculum, while in the experimental group, teaching materials were used in addition to these methods.In the study, 'Academic Achievement Test' and 'Attitude Scale towards Science Course' were used as data collection tools for the 'Systems in Our Body' unit. Six weeks after the application process was completed, the 'Academic Achievement Test' was reapplied as a permanence test. The data obtained from the research were analyzed using t-Test in SPSS program.As a result of the statistical analysis of the data obtained in the study, it was determined that the trainings applied to the students participating in the study had determinative and positive effects on the academic achievement and attitudes towards science course of both experimental and control group students, a significant increase occurred in the academic achievement and attitude scores of the students, and the average scores of the students in the experimental group increased at a higher level than the students in the control group.At the end of the study, some suggestions were developed for experts, educators, academics and students interested in the subject.
