Alanya'da modern eğitim kurumları (1876-1930)

Alanya kazasının 1876-1930 yılları arası eğitim-öğretim faaliyetlerini konu alan bu çalışmada, kaza merkezi ile karyelerdeki ilk ve orta mektepleri belirlemek, bunların öğrenci ve öğretmen durumları ile ders programlarını tespit etmek amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla Alanya'nın eğitimi ile ilgili belgeler Başbakanlık Osmanlı Arşivi'nden temin edilmiştir. Alanya, önemli ticaret yolları üzerinde bulunması ve önemli bir liman kenti olması sebebiyle gelişmiş bir şehirdir. Osmanlı döneminde de bu gelişimini devam ettiren Alanya'nın merkez ve karyelerinde birçok Sıbyan mektebi açıldı. Daha sonra kaza merkezinde açılan Rüşdiye ve İdâdî mektepleri ile de orta eğitime başlanmıştır. Osmanlı Devleti son döneminde Alanya'nın hemen her karyesinde bir Sıbyan mektebinin bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu tespit bize Alanyalıların eğitime verdiği önemi göstermektedir. Zamanla Osmanlı Devleti'nin modernleşmesi ile birlikte Alanya'daki Sıbyan mektepleri de İbtidai mektebine dönüşmüştür. Biz Osmanlı modernleşmesini taşrada Alanya kazası çerçevesinde incelemiş olmaktayız. Osmanlı Devleti'nin yıkılıp Cumhuriyet'in kurulması ile birlikte Alanya kazasında eğitim-öğretim faaliyetleri hızla devam etmiş ve Osmanlı eğitim kurumları Cumhuriyet'e miras kalmıştır.

SUMMARY The aim of this study is to determine the primary and secondary schools in the accident center and villages and to determine the student and teacher statuses and the curriculum of these district. For this purpose, documents related to the education of Alanya were obtained from the Ottoman Archives of the Prime Ministry. Alanya is a developed city because it is located on important trade routes and is an important port city. Many Sıbyan schools were opened in the center and karyes of Alanya, which continued this development in the Ottoman period. Later, secondary education was started with secondary school and administrative schools opened in the district. In the last period of the Ottoman Empire, it was found that there was a Sıbyan school in almost every villages in Alanya. This shows us the importance that the Alanians give to education. In time, with the modernization of the Ottoman Empire, the Sıbyan schools in Alanya turned into ibtidai schools. Thus, we have examined Ottoman modernization within the framework of Alanya District in the provinces. After the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, with the establishment of the Republic, education and training activities in Alanya District continued rapidly and the Ottoman educational institutions inherited the Republic.
