An Investigation of Two Musical Pieces Composed in the Dilkeshaveran Mode by Zeki Arif Ataergin in Terms of Mode, Style and Melody

In this study the musical history and the life of Zeki Arif Ataergin, one of the most prominent composers of Turkish Music, is presented in detail. two works of the composer, which he composed in dilkeshaveran mode, have been studied in terms of mode, style and melodical. It is seen that the dilkeshaveran mode used in the analyzed pieces of music doesn't match up with the dilkeshaveran mode explained in the system. Besides, the routes and musical movements within the pieces of music were given in detail.
