Türkiye'de Özengen Müzik Eğitiminde London College of Music Uluslararası sertifika programı ve sınav aşamalarının işlevselliği

Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’de Özengen Müzik Eğitiminde London College of Music Uluslararası sertifika programı ve sınav aşamalarının işlevselliğinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın evreni, Ankara ilinde LCM sertifika programı eğitim veya sınav merkezliği yapmakta olan sanat merkezlerinde bu programa katılan öğrenciler, velileri ve program eğitmenleri olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın örneklemi ise bu sanat merkezlerinde programa katılan 23 öğrenci, 10 eğitmen ve 10 veliden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden görüşme kullanılmıştır. Bu amaçla oluşturulmuş Yarı Yapılandırılmış görüşme formları yardımıyla veriler toplanmıştır. Kullanılan görüşme formları ise betimsel analiz yöntemiyle yapılmış ve elde edilen veriler araştırılan değişkenlere göre listelenerek yüzde-frekans dağılımları ile betimlenmiştir. Çalışma sonuçlarına göre; LCM sertifika programı hakkında öğrencilerin ve eğitmenlerin çoğunluğunun yeterli bilgiye sahip olmadıkları tespit edilmiştir. Programın öğrencilerin çalgılarıyla ilgilenmelerine ve benimsemelerine yönelik pozitif etkisi olduğu fakat sertifika kullanım amaçları hakkında bilgi yetersizlikleri olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Yapılan sınavların çocuklar için büyük bir hedef ve güdüleyici bir faktör olduğu ve çocukların çalgı gelişimlerini ve öz denetimlerini etkilediği tespit edilmiştir. Sertifika program kitaplarının ilk seviyeleri öğrenciler için olmasına rağmen ileri seviyelerin ise öğrenciler için fazla yoğun olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Eğitmenlerin programa katılamayan öğrencileri için de program kitaplarını kullanması LCM kitaplarının içerik yönünden ne kadar zengin ve işlevsel olduğunu anlaşılır hale getirmiştir. Program eğitmenlerinin programa yönelik dil yönünden yetersiz kaldıkları tespit edilmiştir. Programın özengen müzik eğitimine devamlılığı olumlu yönde etkilediği tespit edilmiştir. Pandemi dönemi sonrası sertifika programının sınav uygulama yöntemlerinin ise olumsuz ve işlevsiz olduğu anlaşılmıştır.

In this study, it is aimed to examine the functionality of the London College of Music International certificate program and exam stages in Volunteer (amateur) Music Education in Turkey. The universe of the study was determined as the students, their parents and program instructors participating in this program in the art centers that are centers of the LCM certificate program education or examination in Ankara province. The sample of the study consists of 23 students, 10 instructors and 10 parents participating in the program at these art centers. Interview method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. The data were collected with the help of semi-structured interview forms created for this purpose. The interview forms used were made using the descriptive analysis method and the data obtained were listed according to the investigated variables and described with percentage-frequency distributions. According to the results of the study, it was determined that the majority of students and instructors do not have sufficient knowledge about the LCM certificate program. It was concluded that the program had a positive effect on students' interest in and adoption of their instruments, but that students had a lack of knowledge about the purposes of using the certificate. It has been found that the exams conducted are a great goal and motivating factor for children and positively affect the development and self-control of children's instruments. Although the first levels of the certificate program books are suitable for teaching process and students, it has been understood that the advanced levels are too intensive for students and require more time. The fact that instructors also use program books for their students who do not participate in the program has made it clear how rich and functional the LCM books are in terms of content. It has been determined that the program instructors are inadequate in language in terms of the program. It has been determined that the program positively affects the continuity of amateur music education. After the pandemic period, it was understood that the exam application methods of the certificate program were negative and dysfunctional.
