Bu doktora tezi Ahmed bin Mahmud el-Karamânî’nin Tefsirinin 1. Cildinin Tahkiki ve Değerlendirmesini-Bakara Süresi 1-141. Ayetler Özelinde- ele almaktadır. Osmanlı müfessiri olan Ahmed b. Mahmûd el-Karamânî’nin (ö. 971/1564) “Tefsîrü’l Karamânî” adlı eserinin; mahiyeti, metodu, kaynakları ve içerdiği Kur’ân ilimleri açısından incelenmiştir. Böylece Karamânî tefsirinin ulûmü’l-Kur’ân konuları açısından önemi ve literatür açısından değeri tespit edilmiştir. Bu araştırma Giriş ve üç bölümden oluşmaktadır: Girişte araştırmanın konusu, amacı, sınırları ve önemi gibi konulara temas edilmiş, birinci bölümde Karamânî ve eseri hakkında literatür değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır. İkinci bölümde ise öncelikle müfessir Karamânî’nin hayatına, kişisel özelliklerine değinilmiş, ardından tefsirinin ismi ve mahiyeti üzerinde var olan tartışmalara işaret edilerek son kanaat belirtilmiştir. Bunun yanı sıra her tefsirin belli bir metodunun bulunmasından hareketle Karamânî’nin tefsirinde hangi metodu kullandığı ve âyetleri nasıl tefsir ettiği tespit edilmiştir. Öte yandan müfessirin eserini telif ederken müracaat ettiği kaynaklara da yer verilerek kendisinin farklı ilmî alanlara oldukça hâkim olduğu vurgulanmıştır ayrıca Karamânî’nin tefsiri, Kur’ân ilimleri açısından incelenmiş; bu bağlamda tespit ve tahliller yapılmıştır. Bu kısımda temel tefsir usulü kaynaklarındaki bilgilerden ziyade özellikle müellifin söz konusu ilimle ilgili verdiği tanımlar, getirdiği örnekler ve yaptığı farklı değerlendirmeler tespit edilerek sunulmuştur. Tezimizin üçüncü bölümünde Karamani’nin Tefsirinin 1. Cildin - Bakara Süresi 1-141.Ayetler Özelinde- tahkik edilmesini içeren sahih metin incelenmiş olup bu araştırma bazı tespit ve önerilerle sonlandırılmıştır.

This PhD thesis deals with the Investigation and Study of Volume 1 of the Tafsir of Ahmed bin Mahmud Al-Qarmani. Ottoman commentator Ahmed b. Mahmûd Al-Qarmani (d. 971/1564) and his work called “Tefsîrü‘l- Karamânî”; It has been examined in terms of its nature, method, sources and the Qur’anic sciences it contains. He has a commentary called "Tefsîrü‘l-Karamânî" and is still in writing. Thus, the importance of Al-Qarmani’s commentary in terms of the subjects of the Qur’an and its value in terms of literature have been determined. This research consists of an Introduction and three chapters: In the first part, which we call the Introduction, the subject, purpose, limits and importance of the research are touched upon, and then the literature about Al-Qarmani and his work is evaluated. In the second part, first of all, the life and personal characteristics of the commentator Al-Qarmani are briefly mentioned, and then the final opinion is expressed by pointing out the debates on the name and nature of his commentary. In addition, considering that each tafsir has a certain method, it has been determined which method Al-Qarmani used in his tafsir and how he interpreted the verses. On the other hand, the sources that the commentator consulted while compiling his work were included and it was emphasized that he had a good command of different scientific fields. Al-Qarmani’s commentary was examined in terms of Qur"anic sciences; In this context, determinations and analyzes were made. In this part, rather than the information in the basic tafsir method sources, the definitions given by the author regarding the science in question, the examples he brought and the different evaluations he made are identified and presented. In the third part of our thesis, the authentic text containing the investigation of Al-Qarmani–i’s Tefsiri Volume 1 was examined and this research was concluded with some findings and suggestions.
