Sanat ve bilim ilişkisinin eğitime yansıması hakkında öğretim elemanlarının görüşlerinin değerlendirilmesi

Bu çalışmanın amacı öğretim elemanlarının sanat ve bilim ilişkisinin eğitime yansıması hakkındaki görüşlerini belirlemek ve bu görüşler doğrultusunda sanat ve bilim ilişkisinin sanat eğitimine olan katkısını ortaya çıkarmaktır. Bu doğrultuda öğretim elemanlarının yürütmüş olduğu derslerinde sanat ve bilim ilişkisine ne ölçüde yer verdiğini, öğrencilere bu konuda yönlendirme yapıp yapmadıkları belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Aynı zamanda bu çalışma sanat ve bilim ilişkisinin sadece teknolojiden ibaret olmadığını göstermesi açısından ve sanatı biyoloji, tıp, mühendislik, kimya ve fizik gibi birçok alanla ilişkilendirilip farklı sanatsal ifade biçimlerinin ortaya çıktığını göstermesi açısından önemlidir. Konuyla ilgili literatür incelendiğinde ülkemizde sanat ve bilim ilişkini destekleyen, teorik ve uygulama boyutunda günümüz sanat anlayışını anlamaya yorumlamaya ve öğretilmesine yönelik kapsamlı bir eğitim programına rastlanmamıştır. Yapılan çalışmaların ise genellikle dijital sanat ve teknolojinin sanat eğitiminde kullanılmasına yönelik olduğu görülmüştür. Aynı zamanda bu çalışma STEAM eğitiminin ne olduğu, neden önemli olduğu ve Türkiye'de bu konu ile alakalı olarak yaşanan gelişmelere yer vermektedir. Gerçekçi bir okul sistemi ya da akademik eğitim, bilim ve sanatın işbirliğine dayandırılmalıdır. Sanatın da, bilimin de amacı yaşama hizmet etmek ve yeniyi keşfetmektir. Sanata ve duyguların eğitimine önem veren okul ya da eğitim sistemlerinde, duygular eğitilirken, zihinsel yeteneklerin, düşüncenin, zekânın da geliştiği gözlenmektedir. Bütün bu kapsam içerisinde sanat ve bilim arasındaki iç içe geçmiş bağlantıyı algılamak, eğitimle bağdaştırmak açısından önemlidir. Bu araştırma, nitel bir araştırma olup, nitel veri toplama yöntemlerinden yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri çeşitli Üniversitelerde bulunan Eğitim Fakültelerinin Güzel Sanatlar Eğitimi Bölümü Resim İş Eğitimi Bilim Dallarında ve Güzel Sanatlar Fakültelerinin Resim ve Grafik Bölümlerinde görev yapmakta olan 15 öğretim elemanının görüşleri doğrultusunda elde edilmiştir. Öğretim Elemanı Görüşme Formu, araştırmanın alt problemlerine ilişkin toplam 4 sorudan oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada öğretim elemanlarının gerçek isimleri kullanılmamış olup araştırmacı tarafından belirlenen kodlarla çalışılması uygun görülmüştür. Elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda, sanat ve bilim ilişkisinin sanat eğitiminde disiplinlerarası bir alan sağlaması ve sanata farklı bakış açıları kazandırması açısından oldukça önemli olduğu, bu iki disiplin arasında etkileşimlerin kaçınılmaz olduğu fakat sanat bilim ilişkisinin eğitime yansıması noktasında çeşitli sorunlar olduğu, bu sorunların da eğitim sisteminden, ders içeriklerinin yetersiz olmasından, eğitimcilerin güncel gelişmelere ayak uyduramamasından ve eğitim kurumlarındaki fiziki alt yapının yetersiz olmasından kaynaklandığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The purpose of this study is to determine the views of the instructors about the reflection of the art and science relation to the education and to reveal the contributions of art and science to art education in the light of these opinions. In this regard, it has been tried to determine to what extent the lecturers have given the relation between art and science in the courses they have conducted and whether they have directed students to this topic. At the same time, this study is important in terms of showing that art and science relation is not just technology, and that art is related with many fields such as biology, medicine, engineering, chemistry and physics and shows different artistic expression forms occurs When we review the related literature we have not encountered a comprehensive education program to support the art and science relation in our country, to interpret, understand and teach today's concept of art in theoretical and practical dimension. It has been seen that the studies made are mostly directed towards the use of digital art and technology in art education. At the same time this is what is the STEAM education, why it is important and gives place to the developments in Turkey in relation to these issues. A realistic school system or academic education should be based on the cooperation of science and art. Both art's and science's aim is serve the life and discover new things. It is observed that in the school or education systems that attach importance to the education of arts and emotions, while the emotions are being educated, the mental skills, the mind and the intelligence also develop. In this context, perceiving the connection between art and science is important to relate it to education. This research is a qualitative research and semi-structured interview method is used as qualitative data collection methods. The results of the research were obtained in the direction of the opinions of 15 lecturers who are working in the Department of Arts and Crafts of Departments of Fine Arts Education of Faculty of Education and Painting and Graphic Departments of Faculty of Fine Arts located in various universities. The Academic Staff Interview Form consists of 4 questions about the sub-problems of the researcher. The real names of the lecturers were not used in the research and it was deemed appropriate to study with the codes determined by the researcher. In terms of the data obtained, it has become clear that the art and science relation is very important in terms of providing an interdisciplinary field in art education and giving different perspectives to art. Interaction between these two disciplines is inevitable, but it has been seen that there are various problems at the point of education reflection of arts science relation. These problems are also the result of the education system, the lack of course content, the inability of the trainers to keep up with the current developments, and the lack of physical infrastructure in educational institutions.
