Hafif düzeyde zihinsel engelli bireylerde sanat beceri eğitimine ilişkin uzman görüşleri ve bir program önerisi

Zihinsel engelli bireylerin eğitimi, dünya genelinde gün geçtikçe daha faz la önem kazanmaktadır. Bu bireylere meslek edindirilmesi amacıyla verilen eğitimlerin önemi konusunda uluslararası birçok çalışma bulunmasına karşın, Türkiye'de bu eğitimlere verilen önem yeterli seviyede değildir. Mevcut eğitim-öğretim programı ile verilen okuma-yazma, öz bakım, sosyal beceri eğitimlerinin yanı sıra, meslek sahibi olmalarına yardımcı olabilecek sanatsal beceri eğitimlerine de gerekli önemin verilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada, hafif düzeyde zihinsel engelli bireylerde, sanatsal beceri eğitiminin faydaları ve etkinliği araştırılmıştır. Bu çalışma temelinde; mevcut görsel sanatlar eğitim-öğretim programının, sanatsal beceri eğitimi açısından yeterliliği, eksik olan yönleri, olması gereken durumu ve hangi konuların iyileştirilebileceği konuları incelenmiştir. Bu genel amaç çerçevesinde; mevcut görsel sanatlar dersi eğitim programının sanatsal beceri açısından yeterliliği, olması gereken durumu ve iyileştirme çalışmaları ele alınmıştır. Çalışma sürecinde; konu alanında uzman akademisyenlere ve öğretmenlere; zihinsel engelliler, görsel sanatlar eğitim programının iyileştirilmesi amacıyla, 9 açık uçlu sorudan oluşan bir görüşme formu uygulanmıştır. Formun sonuçlarına göre müfredat geliştirme konu ve başlıkları belirlenmiş, sonuç olarak da, bu konu ve başlıkların düzeltilmesi amaçlanan 18 haftalık yeni bir sanatsal beceri eğitimi program önerisi hazırlanmıştır.

Education of people with intellectual disabilities gaining more importance in all over the world day by day. Although there are many national and international studies on the importance of providing training to these individuals for their profession, the importance given to these trainings in Turkey is not at a sufficient level. In addition to reading and writing education, self-care and social skills trainings offered by the existing education and training program, it is also necessary to give essential artistic skills training to help them to have an occupation. In this study, the benefits and effectiveness of artistic skill training were investigated in mildly mentally retarded individuals. On the basis of this study, in terms of artistic skills training, the adequacy of the existing education-training program, the missing aspects, the situation that should be, and the subjects in which the subjects can be improved were investigated. Within this general purpose; the adequacy of the existing programs in terms of artistic skill, the situation that needs to be improved, and the improvement works were studied. During the working process, a interview form consisting of 9 open-ended questions was applied to specialist academicians and teachers in the subject area to improve the visual arts education program of mental retardated people. According to the results of the interview form, subjects and titles of curriculum development were determined and as a result, a new artistic skill training program was prepared for 18 weeks aiming to correct these topics and headings.
