Özet
The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Project-based Learning to students' attitudes for teaching social studies in sixth class at primary school. This study was conducted in a primary school in Konya with totally 41 students in two classes which are equivalent to each other. The classes were divided into control and experimental groups. While students in experimental group learn Social studies course with Project-based Learning Approach, control group learns the social studies lesson based on traditional methods. The research lasted for 7 weeks and during that time Social studies attitude scale was applied to the students. Scales were applied to the students before the practice as a pre-test and after the practice as a post-test. T-test was used to analyze the data. According to the pre-test and post-test results of control group, to whom traditional approach is applied and experimental group, to whom Project-based Learning is applied, there isn't a significant difference between students' attitudes to the Social studies course (C) 2015 The Authors.
