7. sınıf öğrencilerinin şiir ezberleme çalışmalarının topluluk önünde konuşma tutumlarına etkisi

Şiir çok eski çağlardan beri insanların duygu ve düşüncelerini dile getirmede kullandığı sanatsal bir üründür. Şiir herkesin yazabileceği ya da yazsa bile yeterli sanatsal değer katabileceği bir edebî tür olmaması açısından son derece önemlidir. Bu bilgilerden yola çıkarak şiirler için düz yazıdan farklı, dilin iyi işlenmiş, muazzam parçaları demek daha doğru olacaktır. Bilindiği üzere konuşmamız bizi diğer insanlardan ayıran, kişiliğimiz hakkında ipucu veren en temel becerimizdir. Kişinin kelime hazinesinin genişliği, telâffuzunun düzgünlüğü toplum içerisinde çabuk fark edilmesini sağlamaktadır. Konuşma becerisi her yaşta olduğu gibi ergenlik döneminde de oldukça önemlidir. Birey olma yolunda ilerleyen gençler, arkadaşları ve öğretmenleri arasında kabul gördüğü sürece daha öz güvenli olmaktadır. Konuşma becerisinin gelişmesinde şiir ezberlemenin önemli bir etkisi vardır. Sürekli şiir ezberleyen çocukların hafızasının daha kuvvetli olduğu, kelime dağarcığının yaşıtlarına oranla daha geniş olduğu fark edilmektedir. Düzenli şiir ezberleme çalışmalarının yapıldığı sınıflarda, öğrencilerin topluluk önünde konuşurken daha öz güvenli bir duruş sergilediği da tespit edilmiştir. Yukarıda bahsedilen özelliklerden yola çıkılarak şiirin kelime hazinesini geliştirmede ve telâffuzu düzeltmede diğer uygulamalara oranla daha etkili olduğu görüşü üzerinde durulmuştur. Araştırmada şiir ezberlemenin topluluk önünde konuşma becerimize olan katkısı ortaya konulmuştur. Çalışma deneysel desen olup veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan “7. Sınıf Öğrencilerinin Topluluk Önünde Konuşmasını Etkileyen Faktörlere Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu Konya’nın Selçuklu ilçesinde bulunan Seyit Ulugülyağcı İmam Hatip Ortaokulundan seçilen 20, 7. sınıf öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. Araştırma sonunda elde edilen veriler SPSS 26 programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgularla ortaokul 7. sınıf öğrencilerinin şiir ezberleyerek topluluk önünde konuşma tutumlarını geliştirdikleri sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Poetry is an artistic product that people have used to express their feelings and thoughts since ancient times. Poetry is extremely important because it is not a literary genre that anyone can write or add enough artistic value even if they write. Based on this information, it would be more accurate to say that poems are different from prose, but well-worked, enormous pieces of language. As it is known, speaking is our most basic skill that distinguishes us from other people and gives clues about our personality. The breadth of the person's vocabulary and the smoothness of his pronunciation enable him to be noticed quickly in the society. Speaking skill is very important in adolescence as it is at any age. Young people, who are on the way to become individuals, become more self-confident as long as they are accepted among their friends and teachers. Memorizing poetry has an important effect on the development of speaking skills. It is seen that children who constantly memorize poetry have a stronger memory and a wider vocabulary than their peers. It has also been determined that students exhibit a more self-confident stance when speaking in front of the public in classes where regular poetry memorization is practiced. Based on the above-mentioned features, it is emphasized that poetry is more effective in improving vocabulary and correcting pronunciation than other applications. In the research, the contribution of memorizing poetry to our ability to speak in front of the public has been revealed. The study is an experimental design, and the "Attitude Scale towards the Factors Affecting the Public Speaking of 7th Grade Students" prepared by the researcher was used as a data collection tool. The study group of the research consists of 20 7th grade students selected from Seyit Ulugülyağcı Imam Hatip Secondary School in Selçuklu district of Konya. The data obtained at the end of the research were analyzed with the SPSS 26 program. With the findings, it was concluded that secondary school 7th grade students improved their speaking attitudes in front of the public by memorizing poetry.
