İlkokul 4. sınıf Türkçe ders kitaplarında yer alan metinlerin çocuk edebiyatının nitelikleri açısından incelenmesi

Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, MEB yayınları tarafından hazırlanan ilkokul 4. sınıf Türkçe ders kitabındaki metinlerin çocuk edebiyatı nitelikleri açısından incelenmesidir. Bu inceleme ile ders kitabındaki metinlerin, çocuk edebiyatına özgü niteliklere uygunluğunu belirlemek ve Türkçe ders kitaplarının çağdaş eğitim sistemi beklentileri doğrultusunda geliştirilmesine ve güncellenmesine katkı sağlamak amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında doküman analizi (belgesel tarama) yöntemi ele alınmıştır. Doküman analizi yoluyla toplanan veriler betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. İncelenen eserlerin bazılarının görsel yönünden ön plana çıktığı söylenebilirken bazı eserlerdeki görsellerin yetersiz, konuyla ilgisiz, renklendirmelerin yanlış, verilen iletilerin amacına net olarak hizmet etmediği belirlenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda kitapların şekilsel olarak daha iyi hale getirilmesi gerektiği gibi aynı zamanda kitap içerisinde verilen mesajların da çocukların yaşlarına uygun hale getirilmesi gerektiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Her ne kadar incelenen kitaplardaki dış yapı özellikleriyle içyapı özellikleri açısından yapılması gereken birtakım değişikliklere ihtiyaç olmasına rağmen kitapların genelinin çocuklara hitap ettiği söylenebilecektir. Çalışma kapsamında incelenen kitapların iç ve dış yapı özellikleri yönünden eksikliklerinin olduğu görülmüştür. İlgili eksikliklerin giderilmesi sayesinde bu kitapların; çocukların okuyabileceği, sevebileceği, anlayabileceği hale geleceği söylenebilecektir.

The main purpose of this research is to examine the texts in the primary school 4th grade Turkish textbook prepared by MEB publications in terms of children's literature qualities. With this review, it is aimed to determine the suitability of the texts in the textbook with the characteristics specific to children's literature and to contribute to the development and updating of Turkish textbooks in line with the expectations of the contemporary education system. Qualitative research method was used in the research. Document analysis (documentary scanning) method was used to collect data. The data collected through document analysis was analyzed using the descriptive analysis method. While it can be said that some of the works examined stand out visually, it has been determined that the visuals in some works are inadequate, irrelevant to the subject, the coloring is wrong, and the messages given do not clearly serve their purpose. As a result of the study, it was concluded that not only the books should be improved visually, but also the messages given in the books should be adapted to the age of the children. Although some changes are needed in terms of the external and internal structure features of the books examined, it can be said that the books generally appeal to children. It was observed that the books examined within the scope of the study had deficiencies in terms of internal and external structural features. Thanks to the elimination of relevant deficiencies, these books; It can be said that children will be able to read, love and understand.
