Özel özel eğitim ve rehabilitasyon merkezlerinde görev yapan öğretmenlerin beklentilerinin belirlenmesi

Bu araştırmanın amacı Özel Eğitim ve Rehabilitasyon Merkezleri'nde çalışan öğretmenlerin çalıştıkları kurumların kurucularından ve yöneticilerinden, kurumlardaki öğretmen arkadaşlarından, eğitim verdikleri öğrencilerin ailelerinden, bağlı bulundukları bakanlıktan, Rehberlik ve Araştırma Merkezleri'nden, öğrencilerinin sağlık raporlarını veren hastanelerden beklentilerini belirlemektir. Araştırmada veri toplamak amacıyla Özel Eğitim ve Rehabilitasyon Merkezleri'nde çalışan öğretmenlerin beklentilerini belirlemeye yönelik ifadeleri içeren ve araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen anket formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya 2015 / 2016 eğitim - öğretim döneminde Özel Eğitim ve Rehabilitasyon Merkezleri'nde aktif olarak görevine devam eden 276 öğretmen katılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan öğretmenlerden 89'u erkek, 187'si kadındır. Araştırma sonucunda; Özel Eğitim ve Rehabilitasyon Merkezleri'nde çalışan kadın öğretmenlerin erkek öğretmenlere kıyasla beklentilerinin daha yüksek olduğu, araştırmaya katılan öğretmenler arasında beklentilerin lisans döneminde özel eğitimle ilişkili ders alıp – almama, özel eğitimle ilişkili hizmet içi kurslara katılıp - katılmama ve hizmet süresine göre farklılaştığı; öğretmenlerin beklentilerinin mezun oldukları fakültelere ve bölümlere göre farklılaşmadığı belirlenmiştir. Özel Eğitim ve Rehabilitasyon Merkezleri'nde çalışan öğretmenler; kurum kurucuları ya da müdürlerinden, kurumda çalışan uzmanların görev tanımlarının yapılmasını ve ilgili kişilere iletilmesini; eş zamanda çalıştıkları diğer öğretmen arkadaşlarından, karşılaştıkları problemlere birlikte çözüm üretebilmeyi; eğitim - öğretim verdikleri destek eğitim gerektiren bireylerin ailelerinden, çocukları ve süreçle ilgili bilgileri eksiksiz vermelerini; Rehberlik ve Araştırma Merkezleri'nden öğrenci performansları hakkında daha açıklayıcı eğitsel raporların yazılmasını beklemektedirler.

The purpose of this research is to explore the general expectations of teachers working in Special Education and Rehabilitation Centers. In the paper, it was aimed to determine the expectations of the teachers from the administrator of institution where they work, their colleagues in those institutions, the families of the students they teach, the ministry they are affiliated with, the Counseling and Research Centers, and the hospitals that give health reports to their students. A survey form developed by the researcher was used to collect data in the study containing statements to identify the expectations of teachers working in special education and rehabilitation centers. Two hundred seventy six teachers working in special education and rehabilitation centers in 2015 / 2016 school year participated in the research. Of the teachers who participated in the survey, 89 are males and 187 are females. As a result of the research; It was found that the expectation of female teachers working in Special Education and Rehabilitation Centers was higher than that of male teachers, the expectations among the teachers participating in the research differ from each other depending on whether they took courses related to special education in the undergraduate period, whether they participate in in-service courses related to special education, and their service period; that the expectations of the teachers do not differ from each other depending on the faculties and division that they graduated. Teachers working in Special Education and Rehabilitation Centers expect administrators of the institution to make job descriptions of the experts and to deliver them to relevant people; their colleagues in those institutions to work on problems they have encountered collaboratively; the families of the students they teach to provide them with accurate information about their children and the process; the Counseling and Research Centers to write more descriptive educational reports on student performances.
