Mehmed Zihni Efendi'nin ilmi şahsiyeti, kıraat ilmine katkısı, tecvid ilmi açısından El-kavlü's-sedid fi ilmi't-tecvid adlı eserin değerlendirilmesi

Mehmed Zihni Efendi (ö. 1913) son dönem Osmanlı âlimlerindendir. 10 Temmuz 1846'da İstanbul'da doğmuştur. Arap dili ve edebiyatı, fıkıh, hadis, terâcim-i ahvâl (biyografi) başta olmak üzere, islâmî ilimlere dair farklı birçok eser yazmıştır. Kırâat ve Tecvîd ilmine dair yazmış olduğu eser ise Osmanlıca olarak kaleme aldığı el-Kavlü's Sedid fî İlmi't-Tecvîd'dir. Bu eser genel olarak Âsım kırâatı ve Hafs rivâyetine göre yazılmıştır. Eserde yer yer şiir ve manzumlara yer verilmiş, konu sonlarında bol örnekler paylaşılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, eserde verilen bilgiler bu alanda yazılan diğer eserlerdeki bilgilerle mukayese edilerek, eserin tecvîd ilmindeki yerini tespit etmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmamız iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde Mehmed Zihni Efendi'nin hayatı ve ilmî şahsiyeti incelenmiş, Zihni Efendi'nin eserinde istifade ettiği kaynaklar ile müellifleri hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde ise Zihni Efendi'nin el-Kavlü's-Sedîd fî İlmi't-Tecvîd adlı eseri tecvîd ilmi açısından değerlendirilmiş, daha sonrasında, eserinden istifade eden müellif ve eserlerine yer verilmiştir.

Mehmed Zihni Efendi (d. 1913) is one of the recent Ottoman scholars. He was born in Istanbul on July 10, 1846. He wrote many different pieces in Islamic sciences, especially in Arabic language and literature, fiqh, hadith, and terâcim-i ahvâl (biography). The study he wrote about the Qıraat and Tajweed Studies is el-Kavlü's Sedid fî İlmi't-Tecvîd, which he wrote in Ottoman. This work was generally written according to the recitation of Âsım and narration of Hafs. In the study, poems and verses are included , and plenty of examples were shared at the end of the topics. In this study, the information given in the study is compared with the information in the other studies written in this field, and it is tried to find out the place of the study in the science of tecwid. Our study consists of two parts. In the first part, the life and scientific personality of Mehmed Zihni Efendi was examined, information was given about the sources and his authors that Zihni Efendi made use of in his study. In the second part, the study of Zihni Efendi's hand-Kavlü's-Sedîd fî İlmi't-Tecvîd has been evaluated in terms of the science of tecwid, and then the authors who profited by him and their studies have been included.
