Özet

The continuing professional development of the teaching profession has a vital place. The present study examines post-graduate theses, the subject field of which are coded as education by the YOK (Council of Higher Education) Head of Journal and Documentation Department, based on the concept of professional development; according to their publication years, departments/programs, educational levels, subject fields, and purposes. The study was conducted on a total of 58 theses. Data was obtained via document review. Post-graduate theses on the subject of professional development in the work group were downloaded from the website of the YOK Head of Journal and Documentation Department in pdf format. Then, theses downloaded onto a computer were analyzed following sub-purposes. The descriptive analysis method was adopted for data analysis. Data obtained via document review was then arranged according to the themes formed by research questions and was presented in tables.
