SOME ATTENTIONS ON ISLAMISM AND NURI PAKDIL'S PLACE ON THE ISLAMISM LINE

Islamism is a form of interpretation and political practice based on religion, brought to the agenda by the intellectuals of a disintegrating state in the 19th century. As a result of the defeats of the Ottoman against the West, in every area, they had a negative outlook, a great search has begun to find a solution to the situation. Political, sociological, economic and military dimensions; a perspective has been created in which art is not separated from these. Intellectuals thought for a long time how to get out of the difficult situation; they put forward various ideas. Islamism is the intellectual product of this painful period. Islamism also carried a historical accumulation to the present day. This accumulation has an intense relationship with culture, art and literature. In post-republic Turkish literature, Islamism continues to be an intellectual stream whose traces can still be traced. The interest of artists in this ideology with the identity of Aydin is manifested in the works they produce. Nuri Pakdil, one of the artists in question, is one of the important representatives of Islamism in post-Republic Turkish Literature with over forty works. Examining the works of Pakdil in the context of ideology and literature will be a useful work that will contribute to Turkish culture and art life. This article aims to indicate the position of Nuri Pakdil on the Islamicist line in Turkish literature by addressing the ideology world. Although Pakdil's works are generally given in the direction of Islamism, the ideology advocated by the artist is most intense in his essays and especially in his letters. Therefore, essays and letters were chosen as the basis for the review of the article. The conclusion reached in the research is that Pakdil represents the dilemmas experienced by Islamism in the context of program and terminology.
