Bunlardan bedi' ilmi, sözü lafız veya anlam yönüyle güzelleştiren sanatlardan meydana gelmektedir. Genellikle bu ilim dalı içerisinde ele alınan "el-kavlu bi'l-mûcib" ve "uslûbu'l-hakîm" birbiriyle yakın ilişki halinde olan iki önemli söz sanatıdır. Bu çalışmada, es-Safedî (ö.764/1363) tarafından kaleme alınan "el-Hevlu'l-Mu'cib fi'l-Kavli bi'l-Mûcib" adlı eser incelenmiştir. Bu eser "el-kavlu bi'l-mûcib" sanatı hakkında tespit edilebilen ilk ve tek müstakil eserdir. Eserde konu ayrıntılı bir şekilde incelenmiş ve istişhadlar çok geniş bir yelpazede verilmiştir. Bu nedenle eser incelenmeye değer görülmüştür. Bu çalışma bir giriş ve iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde, el-kavlu bi'l-mûcib sanatı ile karıştırılan bir söz sanatı olan uslûbu'l-ḥakîm sanatının tanımı, çeşitleri ve örnekleri ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde es-Safedî'nin hayatı, eserleri ve Arap dilindeki yeri üzerinde durulmuştur. İkinci bölümde ise el-ḳavlu bi'l-mûcib sanatının izahı yapıldıktan sonra es-Safedî'nin "el-Hevlu'l-Mu'cib fi'l-Kavli bi'l-Mûcib" adlı eseri incelenmiştir.Arabic language eloquence is composed of three sub-disciplines: me'ânî, beyân and bedî'. Of them, the bedî' is emerged from the art of beautifying the words. Generally this discipline covers the "al-kawl bi al-mujib"and "uslûb al-hakîm" being closely related to each other which are two important arts of word. This study works on "al-Hawl al-Mu'jib fi al-Kawl bi al-Mujib" book which is written by al-Safadi (d.764/1363). This book is the first and the only independent work that can be found about the art of "al-kawl bi al-mujib". In the mentioned book, the subject has been studied in detail and adduces are given in a wide rage. Consequently, the book was noteworthy to be examined. This study is composed of an introduction and two parts. The introduction discusses about the definition, types and examples of the art of "uslûb al-hakîm", which is confused with art of "al-kawlu bi al-mujib". Moreover, the first part studies the life of al-Safadi, his books and his position in the Arabic literature.
