Giriş, iki ana bölüm ve sonuçtan oluşan tezin girişinde çalışmanın konusu, önemi, amacı, metodu ve kaynaklarının yanı sıra el-Muberred'in yaşadığı dönemin genel özellikleri hakkında bilgi verilmiş, Abbâsî Devleti ve Bağdat'ın ahvali üzerinde durulmuştur. Birinci bölümde el-Muberred'in hayatı ve edebî kişiliği ele alınmıştır. Bu bölümde hocaları, öğrencileri ve eserleri etraflıca incelenmiş ve müellifin ilmî derinliği ortaya koyulmuştur. Bıraktığı eserlere bakılarak velût bir âlim olduğu görülen el-Muberred'in bazı akranlarıyla arasında geçen ilmî rekabet de yine bu bölümde serdedilmiş ve müellifin Arap Dili ve Edebiyatı Literatüründeki konumu ile bölüm sona ermiştir. İkinci bölümde ise el-Fâḍıl'ın ayrıntılı bir incelemesi yapılmıştır. Eser, genel bir değerlendirmeden sonra muhteva ve üslup açılarından tafsilatlı bir şekilde irdelenmiştir. Eser, üslup ve metot olarak ise pek çok şiir ve edebî türleri kapsaması bakımından bir edebiyat kitabını, içerisinde barındırıp açıklamasını yaptığı garip ve nâdir kelimeler dağarcığıyla bir lügat kitabını, verdiği mesajlar dolayısıyla bir vaaz-irşad kitabını çağrıştırmaktadır. Ayrıca eserin kendi nev-i şahsına münhasır bir tür 'emâlî' olduğu da söylenebilir. Bunlardan başka eser, muhtevâ ve üslubunun aynı olması bakımdan küçük bir el-Kâmil'dir, denilebilir. Eserin Arap Dili ve Edebiyatındaki yeri ile bölüm sona ermektedir.In this study, al- Faḍıl literary work which was written by Abu al-Abbas al-Mubarrad (d. 285/899) was examined. The thesis consists of introduction, two main chapters and conclusions. In the introduction of the thesis, the subject of the study, the importance, purpose, method and resources, as well as information about the general characteristics of the period in which Al-Mubarrad lived. In the first chapter, the life and literary personality of al-Mubarrad are discussed. In this section, teachers, students and his works were examined and the scientific depth of the author was put forward. The scientific competition between al-Mubarrad, who was seen as a prolific scholar, and his peer Salab, was laid down in this section and the chapter ended with his place in the Arabic language and literatüre. In the second part, a detailed examination of al- Faḍıl was made. After a general evaluation, the work was examined in terms of content and style. The book is like a literature book as it has lots of poetry and other literary genres, like a dictionary as it has a vocabulary of strange and rare words, like a textbook with his messages. And it is like a selection book as it has lots of poetry taken from others and others. Apart from these, it is a small al-Qamil, in terms of content, content and style. The chapter ends with the place of the work in Arabic Language and Literature. Al-Mubarrad who writes his work as a motto to encourage the desire of literature, to make him love and to support his development has accomplished an important task for the lovers of literature and language.
