Birçok yerde müderrislik vazifeleri icra etmiş, Osmanlı devletinde "kadılık" makamına kadar yükselmiştir. Hem muâsırı olan ve hem de kendisinden sonra yaşamış birçok âlim ve şâiri fikrî yönden etkilemiştir. "Celvetiyye" tarîki onunla teşekkül etmiştir. Vefâtında altmış kadar halifesi ve otuz kadar eseri ile Anadolu ve Balkanlar'daki dînî-tasavvûfî hayat üzerinde derin tesirler uyandırmıştır. O, aynı zamanda şiirlerine nazîreler yazılmış mutasavvıf bir şâirdir.Tüm bu vasıfları sebebiyle Tasavvuf Tarihi için olduğu kadar; kendi şiirlerine beste yapacak derecede ilm-i mûsikîye vukûfiyeti bulunması, günümüze kadar şiirlerinin birçok bestekârca bestelenmesi, ehl-i tasavvuf ve mûsikî tarafından hâlen de sevilerek icrâ ediliyor olması da onu Türk Musikisi sahası içinde de şüphesiz önemli bir yere yerleştirmiştir.Nitel bir özellik taşıyan çalışmamızda; Cumhurbaşkanlığı nota arşivlerinde bulunan, sözleri Aziz Mahmut Hüdâyî'nin "Dîvân-ı İlâhiyât" ından alınarak bestelenmiş eserleri tespit edip onları güfte, biçim ve usûl açısından tahlil etmeye çalıştık. Bu çalışmada evrenimiz "Türk Söz Mûsikîsi beste yapımında güfte ve usûl", örneklemimiz ise "Güftesi Aziz Mahmut Hüdâyî'ye ait olan bestelenmiş eserler" dir.Aziz Mahmut Hüdâyî is one of the most famous and competent sufis in the history of Sufism, that sultans, which total of seven sultans were in charge in the 16th and 17th centuries, consult to their knowledge and opinions with great respect and relevance. He performed the task of mudarris (similar to a professor) in many places and was able to move into the position of kadi (judge and legal authority in a particular district) in the Ottoman Empire. He influenced many scholars and poets both his contemporaries and who lived after him intellectually. Also, the Celvetiyye sect was formed with him. With about sixty successors and about thirty works up to his death, he had profound effects on religious-sufi life in Anatolia and the Balkans. He is also a Sufi poet who was written a lot of nazire, poems similar to his work written by other poets. Thanks to all these qualities, as well as to the history of Sufism, the fact that he has the ability to compose his poems, that his poems have been composed by many composers to date, and that it is still performed by people of Sufism and music, has undoubtedly placed it in an important place in the field of Turkish Music. In our qualitative study, we identified the works composed from the work of Aziz Mahmut Hüdâyî called "Dîvân-ı İlâhiyât" in the Presidential notation archives and tried to analyze them in terms of wording, form, and tempo.
