İşletmelerin karar verme süreçlerinde yöneticilere yardımcı olama bakımından bilgi sistemleri büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu sistemlerden bir tanesi de muhasebe bilgi sistemidir. Muhasebe bilgi sistemi, belirli bir dönem içerisinde finansal nitelikli tüm verileri kaydetme, sınıflandırma, özetleme, çoğaltma gibi niteliklere sahip bir bilgi sistemidir. Bu açıdan işletmelere karar alma sürecinde her türlü finansal bilgiyi sunabilmektedir. Bu doğrultuda çalışmanın temel amacı, hizmet işletmeleri olan büyük ölçekli otellerde muhasebe bilgi sistemi verilerinin etkinliğini ve işletmelerde yönetimin karar alma sürecinde muhasebe bilgi sisteminden ne derecede fayda sağladığını araştırmaktır. Araştırma bu kapsamda Türkiye'de faaliyet gösteren büyük ölçekli (dört ve beş yıldızlı) oteller üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak anket tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin değerlendirilmesi sonucu araştırmaya katılan otellerde muhasebe bilgi sisteminin etkin bir şekilde kullanıldığı ve işletmenin yönetim kararlarında muhasebe bilgi sisteminden fayda sağladığı tespit edilmiştir.Businesses are composed of units established with the desire to profit-making, to serve the society and to continue their existence regardless of their operational structure. In the ever-evolving technology and competitive environment, businesses need to make the right decisions in order to achieve their goals. Information systems are of great importance in order to help managers in decision making processes of enterprises. One of them is the accounting information system. Accounting Information System is an information system with qualifications such as recording, classifying, summarizing and duplication of all financial data. In this respect, it can offer all kinds of financial information in the process of making decisions to enterprises. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of Accounting Information System data in large-scale hotels with service companies and to determine the extent to which management benefits from Accounting Information System in decision-making process in enterprises. The research was carried out on large-scale (four and five-star) hotels operating in Turkey. In the research, the survey technique was used as a data collection tool.
