Ekoköyler belli bir amaç doğrultusunda oluşturulmuş, doğaya, insana ve kültüre saygı duyan, adil bir şekilde birlikte yaşamı benimsemiş topluluklar olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Ekoköylerin diğer bir özelliği de oluşumunda doğaya zarar vermeyen yerel malzeme kullanımı ve sürdürülebilir enerji kaynaklarını etkin bir şekilde kullanmasıdır. Bu çalışmada ‘’Dünyadaki Ekoköy Tasarımlarının Türkiye’ye Uygulanabilirliği’’ araştırılmıştır. Araştırmanın birinci bölümünde kavramsal çerçeve oluşturulmuş turizm olgusu ve tarihsel süreci, ekoturizm kavramı, ekoturizm faaliyetleri, dünyada ve Türkiye’de ekoturizm konuları araştırılmıştır. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde araştırmanın konusu, problemi, amacı, önemi, sınırlılıkları, yöntemi, evreni ve örneklemi ile ilgili bilgilere yer verilmiştir. Çalışmanın üçüncü bölümünde ekoköy kavramı, ekoköylerin tarihsel gelişimi, Türkiye’de ve dünyada tasarım modelli ekoköyler incelenmiş olup tasarım modellerine göre ayrılmıştır. Bu incelenen ekoköyler tablolarla desteklenmiştir. Çalışmanın son bölümünde tasarım modelli eko köylerle ilgili sonuç ve önerilerde bulunulmuştur. Araştırma kapsamında Türkiye’de, dünyanın farklı ülkelerinde olduğu gibi tasarım modelli ekoköyün olmadığı, ekoköy olarak bilinen yerlerin çiftlik olduğu gözlemlenmiştir.People around the world started the ecovillage movement in the 1960s and 70s in order to live a sustainable life and to be intertwined with nature. Ecovillages are communities that have been created for a specific purpose, respect nature, people and culture, and have adopted a fair way of living together. Another feature of ecovillages is the use of local materials that do not harm nature and the effective use of sustainable energy resources. In this study, "Applicability of Ecovillage Designs in the World to Turkey" was investigated. In the first part of the study, the conceptual framework of tourism and its historical process, the concept of ecotourism, ecotourism activities, ecotourism in the world and in Turkey were investigated. In the second part of the study, information on the subject, problem, purpose, importance, limitations, method, population and sample of the research is given. In the third part of the study, the concept of ecovillage, the historical development of ecovillages, ecovillages with design models in Turkey and in the world were examined and divided according to design models. These examined ecovillages are supported by tables. In the last part of the study, conclusions and recommendations are made about design model ecovillages.
