Sanat eğitimi, bireylerin bakış açılarını metaforlar yoluyla ortaya çıkarmada ve onların geçmişteki yaşanmışlıklarını, gelecekte ve şu anda yıllarca benimsediği fikirlerini yansıtmada güçlü bir araç niteliği taşımaktadır. Bu bağlamda sanat eğitimi kavramının, farklı kültürlerde yetişmiş bireylerin nasıl algıladığı ortaya çıkarılarak, sanat eğitimi bilincinin değerlendirilmesi ve daha sonraki araştırmalara ışık tutması açısından önem teşkil etmektedir. Bu araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2022-2023 eğitim-öğretim yılında, Antalya ilinin Konyaaltı ilçesinde bulunan, Gençlik ve Spor Bakanlığına bağlı, devlet yurtlarında barınan yabancı uyruklu 48 kadın,48 erkek olmak üzere 96 lisans öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Katılımcıların ''sanat eğitimi'' kavramına ilişkin algılarını ortaya çıkarmak amacıyla "Eğer sanat eğitimi (bir renk, meyve, yemek, koku, mevsim, canlı ve oyun türü) olsaydı, ……… olurdu. Çünkü …….." cümlelerini tamamlamaları istenmiştir. Bunun yanında katılımcıların doldurduğu bireysel bilgi formu ile örneklem grubunun özellikleri (okudukları bölüm, cinsiyet, yaş, gelir durumu, doğdukları ülke, anne eğitim seviyesi, baba eğitim seviyesi, ne kadar zamandır Türkiye'de yaşadığı, neden Türkiye'yi tercih ettiği) betimlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri içerik analizi ile analiz edilmiş ve sonuçlar değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuç olarak farklı kültürlerde yetişmiş lisans öğrencilerinin sanat eğitimini huzurlu, yenilikçi, estetik, özgürlükçü, akılcı ve temel bir ders olarak gördüğü, olumlu yönde algıladıkları sonucuna varılmıştır.In this study, the perception of art education in visual arts education was examined in students who grew up in different cultures. Art education is a powerful tool in revealing the perspectives of individuals through metaphors and reflecting their past experiences, ideas that they have adopted for years in the future and now. In this context, it is important to reveal how individuals raised in different cultures perceive art education, to evaluate the awareness of art education and to shed light on further research. This research was limited to 96 undergraduate students, 48 female and 48 male, who were foreign nationals living in state dormitories, affiliated to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, in the Konyaaltı district of Antalya province in the 2022-2023 academic year. In line with the purpose of the research, it is assumed that while answering the demographic questionnaire and the structured metaphor form, the participants are given enough time to think while answering each question in the forms, by creating a metaphor suitable for the concept of art education and their own perspective and associating these metaphors with the "because" part. A literature review was conducted in the research. Then, after the questionnaire form was prepared and the necessary permissions were obtained, the research data were applied in the state dormitories, on a voluntary basis, at the appropriate times of the participants. In order to reveal students' perceptions of art education after some applications were made on the concept of metaphor related to some concepts selected from the literature and information was given, "If there were art education (a color, fruit, food, smell, season, live and type of game), it would be ………. Because …….." were asked to complete the sentences. In addition, the characteristics of the sample group (the department they studied, gender, age, income status, country of birth, mother's education level, father's education level, how long they lived in Turkey, why they preferred Turkey) were tried to be described with the individual information form filled by the participants. . The demographic questionnaire and the metaphor questionnaire about art education, which the participants filled in by hand, were meticulously examined and each question was listed and tabulated within itself. As a result, we can say that undergraduate students educated in different cultures see art education as a peaceful, innovative, aesthetic, libertarian, rational and fundamental course and perceive it positively.
