Bir devletin salt yetenekli eller ve beyinler sayesinde yükselebileceği kanaatinde olan Osmanlı, devlet makamlarını Avrupa'da olduğu gibi aristokrasinin eline bırakmamıştır. Böylelikle devlet makamlarında görev alacak insanların eğitimi ile bizzat kendisi ilgilenmiştir. Bu sebeple devşirme sistemi ve pençik kanunu ile yabancıların çocuklarını almış ve onlara zamanının dünya gücü olan Osmanlı devletinde görev alma imkânı sunmuştur. Bu hususta üç alman oryantalistin Enderun Mektebi hakkında eserlerinde vermiş oldukları bilgiler doğrultusunda bu kurum hakkındaki düşüncelerinin değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır.The purpose of this theses is to analyse the Enderun school and what three German orientalists Joseph von Hammer, Johann Wilhelm Zinkeisen and Josef Matuz have written in their works about this institute. Being convinced that the state can rise only through talented hands and brains, the Ottoman state has not consigneds the state offices to the aristocracies as it done in Europe. Thus the Ottoman empire itself took care of the education of people who will take employment in state authorities. For this reason the Ottoman state took the children of foreigners with the devşirme and pençik systems and have offered them to served in the state which was the world power of the time. In this matter, the oppinions of the three German orientalists about this institute were analysed with the information they gave about it in their works.trinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessMaster Thesis
