Öykücü kimliğiyle ön plana çıksa da tiyatro eserleri de dikkat çekecek niteliktedir. Sabahattin Kudret Aksal eserlerinde aldığı felsefe eğitiminin etkisiyle kendine has tarzını ortaya koymuştur. Bu kendine has tarzını tiyatro eserlerinde net bir şekilde görmek mümkündür. Tiyatro eserlerinin adları bile ilgi çekmeye yetmektedir. Gerek yarattığı karakterler gerek kurgusu gerek işlediği temalar bireyi sorgulamaya itmektedir. Bu çalışmada da ‘Evin Üstündeki Bulut, Şakacı, Bir Odada Üç Ayna, Tersine Dönen Şemsiye, Kahvede Şenlik Var, Kral Üşümesi, Bay Hiç, Sonsuzluk Kitabevi, Önemli Adam’ olmak üzere toplam dokuz oyun önce özetleri verilmiş olup sonra temaları bakımından incelenmiştir. Metinlerden de alıntılar yapılarak temalar açıklanmıştır. Sabahattin Kudret Aksal’ın dokuz oyununda da karakterler sıradan, hayatın içinden kişilerdir. Konular ise hayat boyu karşılaşılan olağan konulardır. Sabahattin Kudret Aksal tiyatro eserlerinde bireyi merkeze alarak aile, evlilik, yalnızlık, yabancılaşma kavramlarına dikkat çekmiştir. Bu kavramların yanında aile, evlilik, kadın erkek ilişkileri gibi temaları işlemiştir. Aksal, bu temalar üzerinden birey ve toplumu düşünmeye ve sorgulamaya sevk etmiştir. Çalışma neticesinde tiyatro eserlerinden hareketle bireyi düşünmeye, eleştirel düşünmeye sevk edecek temaların yoğunluğu dikkat çekicidir. Oyunların hem okuyanın hem de sahnede izleyenin üzerinde etki bırakması kaçınılmazdır.Sabahattin Kudret Aksal, a leading figure in Turkish literature, has produced countless works in genres such as poetry, short stories, and theater. While he is known for his storytelling, his theatrical works are also noteworthy. Influenced by his philosophical training, Sabahattin Kudret Aksal has revealed his unique style in his works. This distinctive style is clearly evident in his theatrical works. Even the titles of his plays are enough to attract attention. The characters he creates, the plots, and the themes he explores challenge the individual to question themselves. In this study, a total of nine plays, namely ‘Evin Üstündeki Bulut, Sakacı, Bir Odada Üç Ayna, Tersine Dönen Şemsiye, Kahvede Şenlik Var, Kral Üşümesi, Bay Hiç, Sonsuzluk Kitabevi, Önemli Adam’ were first examined in terms of their plots and summaries and then their themes. Themes were explained by quoting from the texts. The characters in all nine plays of Sabahattin Kudret Aksal are ordinary people from life. The subjects are subjects encountered throughout life. Sabahattin Kudret Aksal has focused on the individual in his plays and has drawn attention to the concepts of family, marriage, loneliness and alienation. In addition to these concepts, he has dealt with themes such as family, marriage and male-female relationships. Aksal has urged the individual and society to think and question through these themes. As a result of the study, the density of themes that will urge the individual to think and think critically based on the plays is striking.
