Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, ahlak felsefesinin temel tartışma alanlarından olan erdem etiğini Aristoteles ve Alasdair MacIntyre örneği üzerinden incelemektir. Erdem ve ahlak tartışmaları, insana ve topluma dair şeyler olmaları yönüyle hemen her dönemin önemli konu başlıkları olarak öne çıkmaktadır. Bu bağlamda Aristoteles gibi bir Antik Yunan düşünürünün de erdem öğretisi bakımından ortaya koymuş olduğu fikirlerin değeri devam etmektedir. Nitekim ahlak, insan ilişkilerini konu edinmesini bakımından tarih üstü bir disiplindir. MacIntyre, Aristoteles sonrasında gelen bir düşünür olarak Aristoteles'ten etkilenmiştir. Ancak her iki düşünürün çıkış noktalarının birbirlerinden farklı olduğu görülmüştür. Aristoteles tutarlı bir ontoloji üzerinden erdemlerin ne'liğine yönelirken; MacIntyre erdemlerin tarihsel ve toplumsal olduğuna vurgu yapmıştır.
The purpose of this research is to examine the ethics of virtue, one of the main areas of discussion of moral philosophy, through the example of Aristotle and Alasdair MacIntyre. Virtue and moral debates stand out as one of the most important topics in each period in terms of being something about people and society. In this context, the value of the ideas put forward by an Ancient Greek thinker like Aristotle in terms of virtue teaching continues. Because morality is a historical discipline in terms of human relations. Mactintyre was influenced by Aristotle as a thinker who came after Aristotle. However, it was seen that the exit points of both thinkers are different from each other. As a matter of fact, while Aristotle is turning to the virtue of virtues through a consistent ontology; He stressed that virtues are historical and social.
