Partenogenez ve partenokarpi kavramlarının biyoloji öğretmen adaylarına öğretiminde kavram haritalarının öğrenmeye etkisi

Bu çalışmada, partenokarpi ve partenogenez kavramları ile ilgili kavram haritaları geliştirilmiş ve bu kavram haritalarının biyoloji öğretmen adaylarında öğrenmeye etkileri araştırılmıştır. Araştırmanın deneysel çalışması 2016-2017 öğretim yılı bahar döneminde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmanın örneklemini, Necmettin Erbakan Üniversitesi Biyoloji Öğretmenliği Bölümünde öğretim gören son sınıf ve formasyon eğitimi alan 60 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, ön bilgileri bakımından birbirine denk olduğu varsayılan kontrol ve deney grupları oluşturulmuştur. Daha önce güvenirlilik analizi yapılmış olan partenogenez ve partenokarpi ile ilgili sorular, gruplara başarı ön test olarak uygulanmıştır. Partenogenez ve partenokarpi konuları kontrol grubu için geleneksel öğretim yöntemi, deney grubunda ise kavram haritaları ile işlenmiştir. Bu araştırmada ön test- son test kontrol gruplu desen uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri ölçek uygulanarak toplanmıştır. Kavram haritası ile öğretimin öğrenci akademik başarısı üzerinde ne derece etkili olduğunun belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular SPSS 18 (İstatistiksel Packet For The Social Science 18) istatistik programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Deney ve kontrol grupları için testlerden elde edilen veriler, t testi ile 0,05 manidarlık düzeyinde analiz edilmiştir. Kavram haritası ile öğretim yapılan deney grubunda başarının arttığı gözlenmiştir. Buna göre; üniversitede biyoloji dersinde bilimsel başarıyı artırmak için kavram haritası ile öğretimin geleneksel yönteme göre daha etkili olduğu görülmüştür.

In this study, concept maps that provide a meaningful way to learn the con-cepts of parthenogenesis and parthenocarpy were developed and the effects of these concept maps on learning of the biology teacher candidates were investigated. The experimental study of the research was carried out in the spring semester of 2016-2017 academic year. The sample of the study is composed of 60 teacher candidates who are trained in the department of Biology Teaching at Necmettin Er-bakan University. In the study, control and experimental groups, which are supposed to be equivalent in terms of preliminary information, have been established. Questions about partenogenesis and parthenocarpy, which had previously been subjected to reliability analysis, were applied to groups as a pre-test. Parthenogenesis and parthe-nocarpy were treated with traditional teaching methods in the control group and with concept maps in the experimental group. In this study pre-test and post-test control group designs were applied. The data of the study were collected by applying the scale. It is aimed to determine how effective the teaching of the concept map is on student academic achievement. The findings were analyzed using SPSS 18 (Statistical Packet For The Social Science 18) statistical program. The results of the tests for the experimental and con-trol groups were analyzed using the " t-test" level of 0.05.It is observed that the suc-cess of the experiment group with the concept map increases. According to this, it seems that universal biology lessons are more effective than the traditional method of teaching with concept mapping in order to increase scientific success.
