Split kuaterniyonlarda bazı fonksiyonlar üzerine

Bu tez dört bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde konu ile ilgili literatür özeti verilmiştir. İkinci kısımda, split kuaterniyonlara ait temel tanımlar ve özellikler ifade edilmiştir. Ayrıca, split kuaterniyonların en önemli geometrik uygulamasına değinilmiştir. Üçüncü kısımda, split kuaterniyonlarda kuvvet fonksiyonunun hesaplanması üzerinde durulmuştur. Kuvvet fonksiyonunu hesaplanması için üç farklı metot ifade edilmiştir. Bu kısımda, split kuaterniyonların 2×2 kompleks matris temsili yardımıyla kuvvet fonksiyonunun bulabilmek için yeni bir metot elde edilmiştir. Dördüncü kısımda, split kuaterniyonların 2×2 kompleks matrisi yardımıyla üstel fonksiyonunun bulabilmek için yeni bir yöntem elde edilmiştir. Bu yöntemde 2×2 boyutlu kompleks matrisler için (Berstein ve So, 1998) çalışmasında elde edilen sonuçlardan da faydalanılmıştır. Son olarak sonuç ve önerilere yer verilmiştir.

This thesis consists of four sections. In the introduction section, a summary of the related literature is given. In the second section, the basic definitions and features of split quaternions are expressed. In addition, the most important geometric application of split quaternions is mentioned. The third section focuses on the calculation of the power function in split quaternions. Three different methods for the calculation of power function are expressed. In this section, a new method is obtained to find the power function by the 2 × 2 complex matrix representation of the split quaternions. In fourth section, a new method was obtained to find the exponential function of the split quaternions with the help of the 2 × 2 complex matrix. In this method, the results obtained in the study for the 2 × 2 dimensional complex matrices (Berstein and So, 1998) were also used. Finally, conclusions and reccommendations are given.
