Arıstoteles'in felsefe tarihçiliği

Aristoteles, MÖ 4. yüzyılda Yunanistan'da yaşamış, her konuyu derinlemesine incelemiş, deney ve gözleme öncelik vermiş bir filozoftur. Çalışmaları sadece yaşadığı dönemi etkilemekle kalmamış, sonraki dönemleri de etkilemiştir. Bu etki yüzyıllar boyunca devam etmiştir. Onun araştırmacı yönünü günümüze kadar ulaşan eserlerinde görebiliyoruz. Aristoteles’in günümüze ulaşan eserlerinde felsefenin problemleri adına her konu üzerinde çalıştığını görmekteyiz. Problemlere çözüm odaklı yaklaşarak, kendi çağı ve kendinden önceki çağlarda yaşamış düşünürleri ve onların çözüm yollarını incelemiştir. Amacı felsefe tarihinin sunmuş olduğu amaç ile aynıdır. Olan bir problem üzerine yapılmış çalışmaları inceleyerek, her bir problem için düşünce tarihi oluşturmaktır. Bu yöntemi sonucunda Aristoteles bir felsefe tarihi araştırması dizini ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Çalışmamız Aristoteles’in günümüze ulaşmış eserleri incelenerek oluşturuldu. Bu eserlerde Aristoteles’in filozoflardan bahsetme yöntemi incelenerek felsefe tarihi kapsamında değerlendirildi. Sonuç olarak çalışmamız, Aristoteles’in, önceki filozofların görüşlerini dikkate alarak, doxografik felsefe tarihi çalışmasının ilk örneğini ortaya koymaktadır.

Aristotle was a philosopher who lived in Greece in the 4th century BC, who examined every subject in depth and prioritized experimentation and observation. His studies not only influenced the period he lived in, but also influenced the following periods. This influence had been going on for centuries. We can see his investigative side in his works that have survived to the present day. In Aristotle's works that have survived to the present day, we see that he worked on every subject on behalf of the problems of philosophy. By approaching the problems with a solution-oriented approach, he examined the philosophers who lived in his era and the ages before him and their solutions. His shared the same goal as the history of philosophy. It is to create a history of philosophy for each problem by examining the studies on a problem. As a result of this method, Aristotle creates an index to the study of the history of philosophy. Our study was created by examining Aristotle's extant works. In these works, Aristotle's method of mentioning philosophers was analyzed and evaluated within the scope of the history of philosophy. As a result, our study reveals that Aristotle is the first example of doxographic history of philosophy by taking into account the views of previous philosophers.
