İlkokul 3.sınıf öğrencilerinde LEGO ve matematik motivasyonu

Bu araştırmada ilkokul 3.sınıf öğrencilerinin, öğrencilerin korkulu rüyası olan matematik dersi için başarı yolunda oldukça önemli olduğu düşünülen motivasyon değişkeni incelenmiştir. Bu kapsamda araştırmada, öğrencilerin matematik motivasyonunu etkileyecek değişkenler belirlenmiş ve uygulanmıştır. Yapılan araştırmada; klasik LEGO uygulaması ve LEGO tabanlı bir dijital uygulama olan MoretoMath programından matematik motivasyonunu en çok etkileyen yöntemi tespit etmek hedeflenmiştir. Bununla birlikte araştırma; öğrencilerin cinsiyet, anne eğitim durumları, baba eğitim durumları ve kardeş sayıları gibi değişkenlerin matematik motivasyonu düzeylerine etkilerini anlamayı hedeflemiştir. Çalışmanın verileri, ilkokul öğrencilerinden toplanmış ve elde edilen bulgular istatistiksel analizlerle incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın bulguları, öğrencilerin matematik motivasyonunu arttırmada katkıda bulunabilecek önemli bilgiler içermektedir. Çalışmada deneysel araştırma yöntemlerinden, yarı deneysel araştırma deseni kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grupları Bitlis İl'inin Adilcevaz İlçesinde bulunan bir ilkokulun 3.sınıf öğrencilerinden oluşmuştur. Araştırma kapsamında veri toplama aracı olarak matematik dersi motivasyon ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde normallik testleri uygulanmış ve elde edilen sonuçlar doğrultusunda kullanılacak olan parametrik ve non-parametrik testler belirlenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda bağımlı ve bağımsız örneklemler t-testleri, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) ve Kruskal Wallıs H testleri kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonuçları doğrultusunda önerilerde bulunulmuş ve gelecek çalışmalar için fikirlere yer verilmiştir.

In this research, the motivation variable of 3rd grade primary school students, which is thought to be very important for success in mathematics, which is the students' nightmare, was examined. In this context, variables that would affect students' mathematics motivation were determined and implemented in the research. In the research conducted; It was aimed to identify the method that most affects mathematics motivation from the classic LEGO application and the MoretoMath program, a LEGO-based digital application. However, research; It aimed to understand the effects of variables such as students' gender, mother's education level, father's education level and number of siblings on their mathematics motivation levels. The data of the study were collected from primary school students and the findings were examined with statistical analysis. The findings of the research contain important information that can contribute to increasing students' mathematics motivation. In the study, a quasi-experimental research design, one of the experimental research methods, was used. The study groups consisted of 3rd grade students of a primary school in Adilcevaz District of Bitlis Province. Within the scope of the research, mathematics course motivation scale was used as a data collection tool. Normality tests were applied in the analysis of the data obtained and parametric and non-parametric tests to be used were determined in line with the results obtained. In this regard, dependent and independent samples t-tests, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Kruskal Wallis H tests were used. Suggestions were made in line with the analysis results and ideas for future studies were included.
