Öğe Are the obsessive-compulsive traits a moderator for the relationship between autism and anorexia? A cross-sectional study among university students(Routledge Journals, Taylor & Francis Ltd, 2022) Acikel, S. Burak; Cikili, YahyaObjective It is known that there is a high comorbidity between eating disorders and autistic traits among both the clinical and non-clinical populations. In this study, it is aimed to investigate the relationship between ASD and AN, and the effects of obsessive-compulsive traits. Participants: The study has been conducted in a non-clinical sample. A total of 290 university students have been included. Methods: Autism Quotient (AQ), Eating Attitudes Test (EAT) and Maudsley Obsessive-Compulsive Inventory (MOCI) have been used. Results: There is a positive relationship between EAT-40, MOCI scores, and AQ total scores. However, after controlling the sex and MOCI scores relation in total AQ and EAT-40 scores, they have become statistically insignificant. In regression, only MOCI scores and AQ Communication subscale scores have been able to predict the EAT-40 scores. Conclusions: It has been found that the relationship between autistic traits and eating attitudes is moderated by obsessive-compulsive traits.Öğe Opinions of Teachers Working in Special Education Schools on the Individualized Education Program Team(Sped Sp Zoo, 2022) Cikili, Yahya; Unal, HilmiThe aim of this study is to determine the views of teachers working in special education schools on the functioning of the Individualized Education Program Development Unit. The study group of the research consists of 15 volunteer teachers working in special education schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education in the city center of Konya in the 2020-2021 academic year. These special education schools are schools for three disability groups: mental, hearing, and visual impairments. Schools with individuals with intellectual disabilities are of two types moderate, severe, and mild. A descriptive survey model was used to collect data in order to determine teachers' opinions. The data of the research were collected through semi-structured interviews. In addition, a demographic information form was prepared in order to obtain general information about the teachers. According to the results of the research, it was seen that Individualized Education Program Development Units were not established in schools, and when they were created, they did not function for their purpose.Öğe Social media use and personality disorders(Cumhuriyet Univ Tip Fak Psikiyatri Anabilim Dali, 2020) Akca, Omer Faruk; Bilgic, Ayhan; Karagoz, Hulya; Cikili, Yahya; Kocak, Fatih; Sharp, CarlaObjective: The aim of this study was to investigate the association between personality disorders and social media use. Methods: Five hundred and ten university students participated in the study. Personality Belief Questionnaire-Short form was used to assess DSM-based personality disorder symptoms and Social Media Disorder Scale was used to determine addictive use of social media. In addition, daily usage of social media, frequency of taking and sharing selfies were examined using a questionnaire created by the authors. Results: Participants with high levels of Social Media Disorder demonstrated higher levels of avoidant, dependent, antisocial, histrionic, paranoid and borderline personality features compared to those with low levels of social media disorder. Results of multivariate analyses showed that addictive use of social media, daily duration of social media use and frequency of selfie sharing were positively predicted by histrionic personality features and female gender. Furthermore, selfie taking was predicted only by narcissistic personality features. Conclusion: This study indicates that histrionic personality features may be risk factors for addictive use of social media.
