    THE 19th CENTURY POET AHMED MAZHAR (HIS LIFE, WORKS AND ART APPROACH)

    This work is about the 19th century poet and writer Ahmed Mazhar. Mazhar wrote a poetry book called Mecmu`a-i Es`arim (1898) and a play called Journalist (1909-10). Although the artist wrote two works, he did not enter any biographical sources. For this reason, we do not have any information about him, including his date of birth and death. In this respect, it is aimed to make various determinations and evaluations about Ahmed Mazhar's life, works and understanding of art in order to contribute to the history of literature. In this context, firstly, the clues in the works mentioned above will be evaluated and Mazhar's life story will be tried to be determined, albeit in general terms. Afterwards, brief information will be given about his works. Then, in the light of the findings obtained from his works, especially Mecmu`a-i Es`arim, evaluations will be made about the literary personality of the artist and his relation with tradition will be questioned.
