dc.description.abstractHalide Edip Adivar was a writer who lived between the years 1882-1964 and took an active role in Turkish political history. She was also a teacher and an academician. In our research the documents obtained from Archive of Prime Minister's are included. The documents consist of writings about the resignation letter of Halide Edip from dar-ul-mallimat (Girls High School of Teacher's Training) and the dar-ul-muallimat (Teachers' College) president's letter about the topic. The statements in the letter of resignation application give clues about Halide Edip's ideas and criticism about the school. It was understood from the letter sent to ministry of national education that the resignation process was eventful.en_US
