Özet

The tradition of writing poetry with the East Turkish in the Ottoman dates back to Sheyyad Hamza and Ahmed-i Da'i who lived before Nevayi. Especially after Nevayi, the number of poets who wrote poetry with Chagatai Turkish increased considerably. Many poets like Yavuz Sultan Selim, Nedim and Sheyh Galib wrote poetry in Chagatai by being influenced by this current. However, even though the poems in subject have the characteristics of Eastern Turkish, the poets have not escaped the influence of their own writing languages and have included elements specific to the Ottoman Turkish in their poems. This work has two parts. In the first part, Ottoman-Chagatai culture interaction was given. In the second part, the linguistic data of Oghuz Turkish in Chagatai Turkish poems written by Ottoman poets were handled and the features of Oghuz Turkish in these poems were presented in terms of phonetic, morphology and vocabulary comparison.
