In the aorist of Kashkay, besides the original morphems, there are morphems developed according to the consonants at the end of the verbs. The common feature of these morphemes is that they are seen in the 1st and 2nd persons and have emerged with consonant analogies. Mentioned morphemes are - lAm, -lAn, -leg, -lAnIz similar to -lAyIz; -rAm, -rAn, -reg, -rAnIz similar to -rAyIz and -dAm, -dAn, -dAK, -dAnIz similar to -dAyIz respectively, according to 1st and 2nd persons. Morphemes with /l/ in Kashkay, occur after verbs with /l/ consonants at the end. Morphems with /r/ are used after verbs ending with /r/ consonant: gellem (< *gelrem < gelerem) 'I come', vurram (< vuraram) 'I hit' etc. Morphems with /d/ which stand out as a characteristic feature of Kashkay are mostly ending with tooth, tooth-palate, tooth-lip consonants such as /d/, /l/, /n/, /s/, /t/, /v/ It is used after verbs. After verbs ending with such consonants (dental consonants), when the aorist suffix -Ar comes, the vocal of the aorist suffix decreases. Then there is a progressive analogy between the tooth consonants at the end of the verb and the consonant /r/ of the aorist suffix. As a result of this analogy, morphemes with /d/ are formed: dusdem (< *dusrem < duserem) 'I fall' etc. In Kashkay, it seems that the past tense used with -dXm, -dXn, -dXK, -dXnXz similar to -dXyXz morphems in 1st and 2nd persons was effective in the stereotyping of these morphems with /d/ consonants.en_US
