E: Psoriasis is a chronic, inflammatory disease that appears with variable trigger factors. We know that obesity and other metabolic syndrome criteria are high in psoriasis patients. The aim of this study is to evaluate the relationship between visceral fat markers, risk of cardiometabolic disease, and psoriasis area severity index (PASI) in individuals with and without psoriasis. METHODS: A total of 203 subjects, 102 psoriasis patients and 101 healthy individuals, were included in the study. Lipid accumulation product (LAP) index, visceral adiposity index (VAI), plasma atherogenicity index (PAI), body mass index (BMI), PASI, triglyceride (TG), and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-c) values were measured. RESULTS: LAP index, VAI, PAI, BMI, and TG levels were significantly high (p<0.001) and HDL-c levels were significantly low (p=0.009) in patients with psoriasis compared to healthy individuals. CONCLUSION: LAP index, VAI, and PAI calculations can be recommended as a potential biomarker for early diagnosis of cardiometabolic diseases common in patients with psoriasis.en_US
