birlikte Videonistagmografi(VNG), Video Head Impulse Test(v-HIT), Postürografi testleri
yapıldı.
Bulgular: Çalışmaya dahil edilen Fabry hastalarının 7’i (%53.8) kadın ve 6’sı
(%46.1) erkekti. Kontrol grubunun ise 5’i (%35.7) kadın, 9’u (%64.2) erkekti. Postürografi
testinde bütün skorlarda kontrol grubunun skorları hastaların skorlarından daha yüksek
olmasına rağmen istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık bulunmadı (p>0.05). Kalorik testte 13
Objective: Fabry disease is the second most common lysosomal storage disorder. Although there are many studies evaluating hearing functions related to this disease in the literature, there are few publications on balance functions. In this study, it was aimed to evaluate vestibular function in Fabry patients. Methods: Thirteen Fabry patients and 14 age-sex matched healthy controls were included in the study. Videonystagmography (VNG), Video Head Impulse Test (v-HIT), Posturography tests were performed together with otoscopic examination and vestibular system examination in both groups. Results: Of the Fabry patients included in the study, 7 (53.8%) were female and 6 (46.1%) were male. In the control group, 5 (35.7%) were female and 9 (64.2%) were male. Although the scores of the control group were higher than the scores of the patients in all scores in the posturography test, no statistically significant difference was found (p>0.05). In the caloric test, vestibular hypofunction was detected in 7 (53%) of the 13 patients, while there was no participant in the control group with a canal paresis. This difference between the patient and control groups was statistically significant (p<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference between the patient and control groups in terms of anterior, lateral and posterior canal gain rates (p=0.5666). Conclusion: We think that vestibular involvement may be present in Fabry patients, therefore, balance systems should be considered in the treatment and follow-up process of patients
