Özet
The aim of the study is to determine hospital workers' attitudes towards health information technologies (HIT) and to examine whether their expectations and usage levels of HIT are significant when compared with the descriptive variables in terms of HIT dimensions. In the study, the Use of Health Information Technologies dimension which is the sub-dimension of the Attitude Scale towards Health Information Technologies Use was utilized. This dimension also has 6 sub-dimensions. Confirmatory factor analysis, normality, reliability, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t test and ANOVA test were used to analyze the data. Study findings presents a significant difference between the hospital workers' occupational status variable and the sub-dimensions of intention of use, self-efficacy, and expectation from HIT (p<0.05). A significant difference was found between the groups of hospital workers in the age variable and the IT staff support and HIT infrastructure sub-dimensions (p<0.05). Similarly, a significant difference was found between the groups in the working time variable of hospital workers in the dimensions of IT staff support, HIT Infrastructure, intention of use, HIT selection and expected participation in the design process and (p<0.05). Study results show that hospital workers' intentions and expectations of using HIT were high but their self-efficacy was low. It is recommended that communication channels should be kept open for hospital workers to receive rapid technical support from IT staff for the problems they experience with HIT and regular HIT trainings should be organized to increase their self-efficacy.
