Unexpected irregular changes in the ionosphere in the solar system or outside the solar system create space weather conditions. Some indices are used to better understand and interpret the space weather, which changes space weather conditions close to Earth, and these are called space weather conditions indices. In the age of satellite based communication, the ionosphere layer has an important place. The ionosphere, one of the layers of the atmosphere, is located at an altitude of about 60-1000 km from the earth. There are many electrons in the ionosphere layer. Electron density varies depending on regular and irregular factors. These factors should be taken into consideration while modeling the ionosphere. Space weather conditions adversely affect many areas such as communication systems, satellites, astronauts, GNSS system. In order to know, minimize these effects and develop plans, it is necessary to examine space weather conditions and indices. Within the scope of this thesis, details about space weather conditions and indices are given. In addition, IGS stations were selected from different latitude regions in the northern and southern hemispheres at different time periods in order to examine the effect of space weather conditions on ionospheric TEC changes. The results of the GPS-TEC analyzes of these stations were evaluated in relation to the space weather conditions. The results showed that in determining whether there is any TEC anomaly in the ionosphere, in addition to geomagnetic storm and solar activity indices, plasma density, magnetic field variation, particle flux indices should also be taken into account.
