Populism has once again become popular in media (social or conventional), in academic writings and even in daily talks. Populism is essentially political but its slippery character like mercury does not allow us to conceptualize it as a Weltanschauung, ideology, discourse, movement or even style solely in simplest terms because populism could appear in all forms like Swiss pocketknives. Like fascism it is no ease to define populism particularly compared to many other ideologies with well-framed structure like liberalism or socialism. However, all the ideologies have benefited populism, at least rhetorically, not only in power but also in opposition so we may say that populism has always enjoyed its own power bending on all ideologies more or less.en_US
