This study aims to determine how the religion element is used in Egyptian cinema and how religious audiences' perceptions of cinema change throughout the course. The results of this can be summarized as follows; From period to period, the element of religion has been used in many fields and in the element of violence. In the first years of the Republic, under the influence of the Cemal Abdülnasır period, it was used in a negative sense in this field, as it was in other subjects symbolizing the previous social and political order of the period. Later, with the emergence of the national cinema period, religion was discussed in a political and ideological context. Today, religion has become an element applied with artistic approaches by different rulers from different backgrounds, contrary to previous commercial and missionary interests. Although religious audiences distanced themselves from cinema as a sin, they later took an increased interest in cinema as an art, but criticized certain films and certain scenes. However, Egyptian cinema is still dominated by political interests, and this is what has made Egyptian cinema a religious stereotype until now.
