Özet
The birth of oral and written culture in the journey of human life and its effects on transforming life practices have been at the center of human-based research. In addition to these two phases, the digital culture, which emerged at the point where the transformation of technique into technology and the expansion of communication possibilities, is one of the topics of the new generation social science researchs. Search engines, which help people to reach information on the internet, which is one of the most important interaction tools of technological transformation and digital culture, besides these guidance functions also obtain important data about search trends on the internet with the search statistics they have. In addition, access to religious knowledge along with other information from the internet, which is an informal educational environment, has significant social importance. In this study, the searches with religious content made between the years 2004-2019 in Turkey on the Google search engine, the platform on which the vast majority of searches on the internet are carried out, was examined by descriptive survey model. Data of the Study on Religious Life in Turkey published by The Presidency of Religious Affairs was used to determine the subjects of the study and to compare the findings.
