The eastern part of Lake Beyşehir has different geomorphological units, as well as diversity in land use. The geomorphological properties of the site and land use have a tight connection. In this respect, the study was aimed at showing the results of the processes affecting land use on geomorphological units in the eastern part of Lake Beyşehir between 1987-2018. The change in land use in 1987, 1990 and 2018 of the site was evaluated using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) techniques. The largest change in land use in the eastern part of Lake Beyşehir is the increase in aqueous agricultural areas. In this case, it has been determined that the Kıreli Irrigation Project is effective. The general proportion of aqueous farmland has increased from 3% to 11%. The geomorphological unit, where the water farmland holds the most space, is the coastal plain. In the coastal plain (1121-1150 m), the aqueous farmland has a 53.3% ratio. In parallel with the increase in aqueous agricultural areas, there is an increase in forest, dry agriculture and residential areas. However, the reduction in mixed farmland, orchards, bare rock, rare vegetation and pasture field draws attention. While the increase in aqueous farmland in land use in the research site has led to an increase in economic income, the wrong methods have led to erosion and water pollution. As a result, the prevention of false land use, correct use of water resources, control of pollutant elements of water and soil sources, and awareness of the local population is crucial to the sustainability of the ecosystem.
