Özet
"Çağdaş Türk Resminde Bir Mitolojik Unsur Olarak Nar" konulu yüksek lisans tez çalışmasında amaç, nar imgesinin mitolojik olarak anlamlarının çağdaş Türk resim sanatındaki kullanımına dair örneklerinin incelenmesidir. Araştırmada literatür taraması yapılmış yurtiçi ve yurtdışı kütüphaneler ve arşivlerine ulaşılmış, makale bildiri ve tezler incelenerek konu özelindeki kısımlar çalışmada yer almıştır. Mitoloji masal, öykü ve efsanelerden oluşan sözlerdir. Toplumların köklerine ait bu söylencelerin, sanat yoluyla kuşaktan kuşağa aktarılarak kalıcı hale gelmesi sağlanmıştır. Dolayısıyla kadim bir geçmişe sahip olan Türk toplumunun sanatına bakıldığında nar rastlantısal mitsel bir imge olmuştur. Türk sanatında Osmanlı devletinde batılılaşma dönemi resimlerinde nar imgesinin natürmortlarda kullanıldığı tespit edilmiştir 1980'lerde üniversitelerde mitoloji derslerinin verilmeye başlanmasıyla mitolojiye ilgi artmış ve sanatçılar bu yönde eserler üretmeye başlamışlardır. Tez çalışması, çağdaş Türk ressamlarından Arzu Karcı, Emin Güler, İsmail Acar, İlham Enveroğlu, Muzaffer Akyol ve Özdemir Yemenicioğluna ait eser örneklerinin analizleri ile sınırlandırılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda katalogda yer alan sanatçıların eser örneklerinde mitoloji ile bağlantılı nar imgesine yer verdikleri ve sembolik anlamda kullandıkları tespit edilmiştir.
The aim of the master's thesis titled "Pomegranate as a Mythological Element in Contemporary Turkish Painting" is to examine examples of the use of the mythological meanings of the pomegranate image in contemporary Turkish painting. In the research, the literature was scanned, domestic and foreign libraries and archives were accessed, articles, papers and theses were examined and sections specific to the subject were included in the study. Mythology is words consisting of fairy tales, stories and legends. These myths about the roots of societies have been transferred from generation to generation through art and have become permanent. Therefore, when looking at the art of the Turkish society, which has an ancient past, the image of a pomegranate, a mythological element, is encountered. In Turkish art, it has been determined that the pomegranate image was used in still lifes in the paintings of the westernization period in the Ottoman Empire. With the introduction of mythology courses in universities in the 1980s, interest in mythology increased and artists began to produce works in this direction. The thesis study is limited to the analysis of the works of contemporary Turkish painters Arzu Karcı, Emin Güler, İsmail Acar, İlham Enveroğlu, Muzaffer Akyol and Özdemir Yemenicioğlu. As a result of the research, it was determined that the artists in the catalog included the image of pomegranate related to mythology in their work samples and used it in a symbolic sense.
