dc.description.abstractTurizm, pek çok gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülke açısından önemli bir sektördür. Dolayısıyla turizm, ülkeler açısından döviz geliri ve istihdam kaynağı olarak önem verilmesi gereken bir sektördür. Turizmin oluşturduğu bu ekonomik güç ile birlikte oluşacak olan turizm talebi de oldukça önem teşkil etmektedir. Bu tezin amacı, Türkiye'nin turizm talebine yönelik sosyo-kültürel değişkenleri ve etkisini Panel Veri Analizi yöntemi ile analiz etmektir. Söz konusu analiz için Türkiye'ye 1996-2017 yılları arasında en çok ziyaretçi gönderen 19 ülke örneklem olarak alınmıştır. Bu yıllar arasında oluşturulan veri seti içerisinde kişi başı gelir, toplam nüfus sayısı, kentleşme düzeyi, bireysel internet kullanımı, insani gelişim endeksi, eğitim düzeyi ve ölüm oranları gibi sosyo-kültürel değişkenler yer almaktadır. Söz konusu amaç doğrultusunda panel birim kök, panel eşbütünleşme testleri ve eşbütünleşme tahmincisi yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Ampirik analizlerden elde edilen bulgular, oluşturulan modellerdeki değişkenlerin turizm talebi üzerinde beklenilen etkileri gösterdiğine dair kanıtlar sunmaktadır. Bulgular, ekonomik değişkenlerin dışında sosyo-kültürel değişkenlerin de turizm talebi üzerinde önemli bir etkiye sahip olduğunu göstermektedir.en_US
dc.description.abstractTourism is an important sector for many developed and developing countries. Therefore, tourism is a sector that needs to be given importance as a source of foreign exchange income and employment for countries. The demand for tourism that will be formed with this economic power created by tourism is also very important. The aim of this thesis is to analyze Turkey's socio-cultural variables and their impact on the tourism demand with Panel Data Analysis method. For this analyze, 19 countries which the most send tourists to Turkey between the years 1996-2017 are taken as sample. The data set created between these years includes socio-cultural variables such as per capita income, total population, urbanization level, individual internet use, human development index, education level and mortality rates. For this purpose, panel unit root, panel cointegration tests and cointegration estimator methods were used. Findings from empirical analysis provide evidence that the variables in the models produced show the expected effects on tourism demand. The findings show that not only economic variables but also socio-cultural variables have a significant effect on tourism demand.en_US
