Lise öğrencilerinin çevre sorunları konusundaki bilişsel yapılarının ve alternatif kavramlarının belirlenmesi

dc.description.abstractBu çalışmanın amacı, liselerde okuyan öğrencilerin çevre sorunları hakkında ne kadar bilgi sahibi olduklarını görmek, ayrıca çevre sorunlarıyla ilgili bilişsel yapılarında yer alan alternatif kavramları da ortaya çıkarmaktır. Araştırmaya katılan öğrenciler; Aksaray Anadolu Otelcilik ve Turizm Meslek Lisesi ve Aksaray Teknik ve Endüstri Meslek Lisesi?nde öğrenim gören öğrencilerdir. Öğrenciler 10., 11., ve 12. sınıflarda öğrenim görmektedirler ve rastgele seçilmişlerdir. Araştırmamızın modeli, kelime ilişkilendirme testi ve çoktan seçmeli bilgi testinden oluşmaktadır. Testte yer alan konular, hava kirliliği, su kirliliği, toprak kirliliği, küresel ısınma, iklim değişikliği, sera etkisi, asit yağmuru, gürültü kirliliği, radyasyon ve erozyon ile ilgilidir. Çevre sorunları bilgi testinin geçerlilik ve güvenirlik analizi için hazırlanmış olan 25 soru önce 75 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Alt-üst gruplarına dayanan geçerlilik analizi sonuçlarına göre 1, 2, 4, 5, 11, 14, 24. sorular anlamlı olmadığı için (p<0,05) bilgi testinden çıkarılmıştır. Böylece soru sayısı 18 indirilmiş ve sorular 1 den 18?e kadar yeniden numaralandırılarak son hali 98 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada kullanılan çoktan seçmeli bilgi testinin güvenilirlik katsayısı 0,99 çıkmıştır. Testlere ait veriler SPSS paket programından yararlanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Ayrıca 9 anahtar kavramdan oluşan kelime ilişkilendirme testini 100 öğrenci cevaplandırmıştır. Elde edilen cevap kelimelerin frekans tabloları hazırlanmış ve buna göre kavram ağları oluşturulmuştur. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlar değerlendirildiğinde öğrencilerin çevre sorunları hakkında yeterli bilgi sahibi oldukları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Kelime ilişkilendirme testinde öğrencilerin her anahtar kavram için yazdıkları cevap kelimeler ve cevap kelimelerle ilgili kurmuş oldukları cümleler değerlendirilmiştir. Bu değerlendirme sonucunda öğrencilerin çevre soruları konusunda anlamlı öğrendikleri ve bilgi sahibi oldukları anlaşılmıştır. Ancak hem vermiş oldukları cevap kelimelerde hem de cevap kelimelerle ilgili kurmuş oldukları cümleler incelendiğinde bilimsel olmayan ve yüzeysel bilgiler içeren kelimeler yazdıkları da görülmektedir. Bu durum öğrencilerin bazı konularda kavram yanılgısına sahip olduklarını ortaya koymaktadır. Tüm bunlar ayrıntılı bir şekilde belirtilerek yapılması gerekenler öneriler başlığı altında verilmiştir.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to monitor high school students? knowledge about environmental problems, and also to reveal alternative concepts in cognitive structures related to environmental problems. The students who participated in this research have been studying at Aksaray Hotel Management and Tourism Vocational High School and Aksaray Technical and Industrial High School. They are 10th , 11th and 12th grade students and chosen randomly. Our research model consists of word-association and multiple-choice quiz tests. The subjects of the tests are about air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, global warming, climate change, greenhouse effect, acid rain, noise pollution, radiation, erosion. 25 questions were initially asked to 75 students to ensure validity and reliability analysis of quiz test for environmental problems. According to the validity analysis results based upon low and high model groups, 1-2-4-5-11-14-24th questions have been eliminated from quiz test since they are not comprehensive (p<0,05). So, we currently have 18 questions and ordered from 1 to 18, lastly applied to 98 students. Reliability parameter of multiple choice quiz used in the research is reached to 0,99. The data of the tests have been analyzed via SPSS package programme. In addition to this, 100 students answered the word association test consisting of 9 key concepts. Frequency tables were prepared with the given answers and thus concept nets have been created. Evaluating the results of the research, we infer that the students have sufficient knowledge about environmental problems. The answer words for each key concept and the sentences they formed related to answer words are evaluated in the word association test. As a result of this evaluation, we understand that the models are sensitive and have knowledge about environmental problems. Yet, examining both the answer words and the sentences they formed related to answer words, we see that there are some answers which are not scientific and insufficient. This situation shows that the students have misunderstandings upon concepts in some subjects. All of them are given in detail as subtitles of highly necessary suggestions.en_US
