| dc.description.abstract | Kanserler yüksek mortalite riski ve hastanın tetkik ve tedavi maliyetinin yüksekliği nedeni ile önemli bir sağlık problemidir. Akciğer kanseri ise her iki cinste de kanserden ölüm nedenleri arasında ilk sıradadır. Matriks metalloproteinazlar ve matriks metalloproteinaz doku inhibitörleri birçok kanserde olduğu gibi akciğer kanserinde de teşhis, prognoz ve tedavi açısından araştırılmıştır. Biz bu çalışmada serum MMP?2, TIMP?2, MMP?2/TIMP?2 kompleksi düzeylerini belirleyerek; akciğer kanserli hastaların teşhis ve tetkikinde serumlarından yapılabilecek bu tetkiklerin hastalara faydalı olabileceğini düşündük.Bu çalışmaya 28 küçük hücreli dışı akciğer kanserli hasta ile yaş ortalamaları hasta grubu ile benzer sağlıklı 21 kişi dahil edildi. Hasta ve kontrol grubunun serum örneklerinde MMP?2, TIMP?2 ve MMP?2/ TIMP?2 kompleks düzeyleri ELISA metodu kullanılarak ölçüldü.KHDAK hastalarında kontrol grubu karşılaştırıldığında MMP?2, TIMP?2 ve MMP?2/ TIMP?2 kompleks düzeylerinin anlamlı olarak daha yüksek olduğu bulundu (p<0.05).Küçük hücreli dışı akciğer kanserinde hastaların sadece akciğer dokularında değil, hasta serumlarında da MMP?2, TIMP?2 ve MMP?2/TIMP?2 kompleks düzeyleri artmaktadır. Bunlardan bir ya da birden fazlasının serumda ölçümü bu hastalığın tanısında ve izleminde kullanılabilir kanaatindeyiz. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Cancers are important health problems because of high mortality rates and high costs of diagnosis and therapy modalities of the disease. Lung cancer is the major cause of cancer associated deaths in both sexes. Matrix metalloproteinases and their tissue inhibitors were investigated in lung cancer as well as some of the other cancer types for diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic purposes. In this study by determination of serum levels of MMP?2, TIMP?2 and MMP?2/TIMP?2 complex we thought that these tests will be helpfull in diagnosis and investigation of lung cancer patients28 patients with non small cell lung cancer and 21 healthy individuals age matched with the patient group were contributed to this study. MMP?2, TIMP?2 and MMP?2/TIMP?2 complex levels were measured in sera of the patient and control groups with ELISA technique. MMP?2, TIMP?2 and MMP?2/TIMP?2 complex levels were significantly increased in patients with non small cell lung cancer compared with the control group (p<0.05).MMP?2, TIMP?2 and MMP?2/TIMP?2 complex levels increase in sera of the patients with non small cell lung cancer as well as their lung tissues. Measurement of one or more of these parameters in sera of the patients will be used for diagnosis and management of the disease. | en_US |
