dc.description.abstract2010 yılında Orta Doğu’da patlak veren Arap Baharı’nın etkilediği ülkelerden birisi de Suriye olmuştur. Suriye krizi, otoriter bir yönetim anlayışı sergileyen Baas rejimine karşı halkın demokrasi isteğiyle yaptığı gösteri hareketleriyle başlamıştır. Esad ordusunun halk gösterilerini şiddetle bastırmaya çalışması olayların iç savaşa evrilmesine yol açmıştır. Suriye’de başlayan iç savaşla birlikte binlerce insan hayatını kaybetmiş birçok kişi de mülteci olarak başka ülkelere sığınmıştır. Suriye krizi, Türkiye açısından ayrı bir öneme sahiptir. İki ülke arasında geçmişten gelen tarihsel bağlar ve yakın dönemde Türkiye’nin Orta Doğu’da etkili bir aktör olma girişimi konuya özel bir önem verilmesini gerektirmiştir. Ayrıca Türkiye’nin en uzun kara sınır komşusu da Suriye’dir. Suriye krizinin derinleşmesiyle beraber birçok devlet ve devlet dışı aktör bu topraklar üzerinde rekabete girişmiştir. Suriye’de oluşan güç boşluğundan faydalanmak isteyen terör örgütleri Türkiye’nin sınır güvenliğini tehdit etmiştir. Türkiye, hem sınır hattının güvenliğini sağlamak hem de Suriye’nin toprak bütünlüğünü korumak için çeşitli askeri operasyonlar düzenlemiştir. Türkiye, gerçekleştirdiği askeri müdahalelerin yanı sıra Suriye’de kalıcı barışı sağlamak adına toplanan zirvelerde diplomatik girişimlerde de bulunmuştur. Bu çalışmanın amacı da, Suriye İç Savaşı’nın çözüm sürecinde Türkiye’nin oynadığı rolü analiz etmektir.en_US
dc.description.abstractOne of the countries affected by the Arab Spring that broke out in the Middle East in 2010 was Syria. The Syrian crisis started with the demonstrations of the people against the Baath regime, which displayed an authoritarian understanding of government, with the desire for democracy. The efforts of the Assad army to violently suppress the public demonstrations led to the evolution of the events into a civil war. With the civil war that started in Syria, thousands of people lost their lives and many people sought refuge in other countries as refugees. The Syrian crisis has a special importance for Türkiye. The historical ties between the two countries and Türkiye's recent activism to be an effective actor in the region necessitated paying special attention to the issue. In addition, Türkiye's longest land border neighbor is Syria. With the deepening of the Syrian crisis, many state and non state actors have entered into competition over these lands. Terrorist organizations that want to take advantage of the power vacuum in Syria have threatened Türkiye's border security. Türkiye has carried out various military operations both to ensure the security of the border line and to protect the territorial integrity of Syria. In addition to its military interventions, Türkiye has also made diplomatic initiatives at the summits to ensure lasting peace in Syria. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role played by Türkiye in the resolution process of the Syrian Civil War.en_US
