dc.description.abstractDünyanın en hızlı büyüyen ve gelişen sektörlerinden biri olan turizm sektörü, ülkeler için çok önemli bir ekonomik kazanç sağlama aracı olarak görülmektedir. Bir bölgede turizm sektörünün gelişmeye başlamasıyla birlikte hem olumlu hem de olumsuz ekonomik, sosyo-kültürel ve çevresel etkiler meydana gelebilmektedir. Bu etkileri en çok yerel halk hissetmektedir. Bu nedenle turizm faaliyetlerine yönelik yerel halkın tutum ve davranışlarının ölçülmesi önemli bir araştırma konusu haline gelmiştir. Tarihi, kültürel ve inanç turizmi yönünden önemli turistik çekiciliklere sahip olan Mardin ili, ulusal ve uluslararası turizm hareketleri yönünden önemli bir turistik destinasyon olarak görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada, Mardin ilindeki yerel halkın turizm gelişimine ve turizmin ekonomik, sosyo-kültürel ve çevresel etkilerine yönelik algılarının belirlenmesi amacıyla anket yöntemi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler Mardin ilinde yaşayan 509 katılımcıdan toplanmış ve SPSS 23 programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın hipotezlerini test etmek amacıyla yerel halkın turizm gelişimine yönelik destek algıları ile turizmin ekonomik, sosyo-kültürel ve çevresel etkileri arasında korelasyon analizi yapılmıştır. Ayrıca yerel halkın turizm gelişimine yönelik destek olma düzeyleri ile demografik özellikleri arasındaki farklılıkların belirmesi amacıyla farklılık analizleri yapılmıştır. Elde edilen verilen analizi sonucunda, yerel halkın turizmin ekonomik, sosyo-kültürel ve çevresel etkilerine yönelik algılarının genel itibariyle olumlu olduğu ve turizm gelişimine yönelik faaliyetleri desteklediklerini görülmüştür. Ayrıca yerel halkın turizm gelişimine yönelik destek algısı ile turizmin ekonomik ve çevresel etkilerine yönelik algıları arasında pozitif bir ilişki olduğu ama turizmin sosyo-kültürel etkilerine yönelik algıları arasında negatif bir ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Farklılık analizleri sonucunda ise, cinsiyete, medeni duruma, aylık gelire ve mesleklerine göre turizm gelişimine yönelik verilen desteklerin de anlamlı farklılık görülmediği ancak eğitim durumları ve yaş'a göre anlamlı bir farklılık görülmüştür.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe tourism sector, which is one of the fastest growing and developing sectors in the world, is seen as a very important economic gain tool for countries. As the tourism sector starts to develop in a region, both positive and negative economic, socio-cultural and environmental impacts may occur. These effects are mostly felt by local people. Therefore, measuring the attitudes and behaviors of local people towards tourism activities has become an important research topic. Mardin, which has significant tourist attractions in terms of historical, cultural and faith tourism, is seen as an important tourist destination in terms of national and international tourism movements. In this study, a questionnaire was conducted to determine the perceptions of local people in Mardin on tourism development and economic, socio-cultural and environmental effects of tourism. Data were collected from 509 participants in Mardin province and analyzed with SPSS 23 program. In order to test the hypotheses of the research, correlation analysis was conducted between the perception of support of local people for tourism development and economic, socio-cultural and environmental effects of tourism. In addition, differences were analyzed in order to determine the differences between the level of support of the local people for tourism development and demographic characteristics. As a result of the obtained analysis, it was seen that the perception of the local people about the economic, socio-cultural and environmental effects of tourism was generally positive and they supported the activities for tourism development. In addition, it was found that there is a positive relationship between the perception of support of the local people for tourism development and their perceptions about the economic and environmental effects of tourism, but there is a negative relationship between the perceptions of the socio-cultural effects of tourism. As a result of the differences analysis, there was no significant difference in the support provided for tourism development according to gender, marital status, monthly income and occupations, but there was a significant difference according to education level and age.en_US
