dc.description.abstractOrta gelir tuzağı, gelişmekte olan ülkelerin ekonomileri için gerekli yapısal dönüşümleri gerçekleştirememeleri ve uzun süre orta gelir düzeyinden yüksek gelir düzeyine geçememeleri olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Türkiye, orta gelirli bir ülkedir. Uzun yıllardır orta gelir düzeyinde olduğu için orta gelir tuzağına yakalanmıştır. Güney Kore ise orta gelir düzeyinde çok kısa süre kalmıştır. Dolayısıyla orta gelir tuzağına yakalanmadan yüksek gelir düzeyine ulaşmayı başarmıştır. Bu tezin amacı, orta gelir tuzağı kavramı çerçevesinde Türkiye ve Güney Kore ekonomilerinin karşılaştırılarak, Türkiye ekonomisinin yetersiz olan yönleri ve yüksek gelir düzeyine ulaşmak için uygulaması gereken stratejilerden bahsedilmektedir. Bu doğrultuda çalışmanın birinci bölümünde orta gelir tuzağının dayandığı teorik temeller ve orta gelir tuzağı kavramının tanımından bahsedilmektedir. İkinci bölümde Türkiye ve Güney Kore ekonomileri belirli göstergeler doğrultusunda karşılaştırılmaktadır. Son bölümde ise Türkiye’nin orta gelir tuzağından çıkış stratejileri hakkında bilgi verilmektedir.en_US
dc.description.abstractMiddle-income trap, developing countries cannot realize the necessary structural transformations for their economies and it is defined as not being able to pass from middle income level to high income level for a long time. Turkey is a middle-income country. It has been in the middle income trap for many years as it is in the middle income level. South Korea has a very short period of middle income. Therefore, it has reached high income level without reaching middle income trap. The aim of this thesis, within the concept of the middle income trap of comparing Turkey and South Korea's economy, which aspects of Turkey's economy and is cited inadequate implementation strategies needed to achieve a high level of income. In this direction, in the first part of the study, the theoretical foundations on which the middle income trap is based and the definition of the middle income trap are mentioned. The second part, Turkey and South Korea's economy are compared in accordance with specific indicators. In the last section provides information about exit strategies from Turkey's middle-income trap.en_US
