dc.description.abstractAnnenin prenatal dönemde bebeğini emzirmek istemesi ve buna karar vermesi emzirme öz yeterliliğinin oluşmasına bağlıdır. Prenatal dönemde emzirme öz yeterliliği birçok faktörden etkilenir. Bu faktörlerden biri de sosyal destektir. Primipar gebelerde emzirmenin daha başarılı ve keyifli bir süreç olarak sürdürülmesi için emzirmeyi etkileyen sosyal destek ve emzirme öz yeterliliği gibi faktörlerin prenatal dönemde belirlenmesi önemlidir. Çalışma, primipar gebelerde algılanan sosyal desteğin prenatal emzirme öz yeterliliği ile ilişkisini değerlendirmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Tanımlayıcı ve ilişki arayıcı tipte yapılan çalışma, araştırmaya alınma kriterlerini taşıyan 350 gebe ile tamamlanmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında; anket formu, Prenatal Emzirme Öz Yeterliliği Ölçeği ve Çok Boyutlu Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Veriler, araştırmacı tarafından, 01 Mart 2020–01 Haziran 2020 tarihleri arasında, yüz yüze görüşme tekniği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde sayı, yüzde, ortalama ve standart sapma, t testi, Mann Whitney U testi, Pearson korelasyon analizi ve çoklu regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda pirimipar gebelerin prenatal emzirme öz yeterliliği ölçeğinden aldıkları puanların ortalamasının orta ve çok boyutlu algılanan sosyal destek ölçeğinden aldıkları puanların ortalamasının yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur. Primipar gebelerin çok boyutlu algılanan sosyal destek ölçeği aile ve arkadaş desteği alt boyutu, gebelikte doktor desteği, gebelikte aile desteği olmak üzere dört değişkenden % 14 oranında etkilendiği, primipar gebelerde prenatal emzirme öz yeterliliği ve sosyal destek arasında pozitif yönde bir ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Çalışma sonucuna göre; primipar gebelere prenatal dönemde sağlanan sosyal destek arttıkça prenatal emzirme öz yeterliliğinin de arttığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Postpartum dönemde emzirme sürecinin başarılı bir şekilde geçirilmesi için prenatal dönemde gebelere yeterli sosyal destek sağlanarak prenatal emzirme öz yeterliliği arttırılmalıdır. Gebelerin emzirme öz yeterliliğinin artırılması için hemşirelerin; bakım hizmeti verirken primipar gebelerin doğum ile ilgili düşüncelerini, beklentilerini, sosyal destek durumlarını ve prenatal emzirme öz yeterliliklerini değerlendirerek sosyal destek programlarının oluşturulması önerilebilir.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe mother’s desire and decision in the prenatal period to breastfeed her baby depend on her breastfeeding self efficacy. Breastfeeding self efficacy in the prenatal period is affected by several factors. One of these factors is social support. Factors such as social support and breastfeeding self efficacy affecting breastfeeding should be determined in the prenatal period for a successful and enjoyable breastfeeding process in pregnant women. The study was conducted in order to evaluate the relationship between perceived social support and breastfeeding self efficacy in pregnant women. The study, which was carried out as a descriptive and correlational research, was completed with the participation of 350 pregnant women who met the inclusion criteria. In the collection of the study data, a questionnaire form, Prenatal Breastfeeding Self Efficacy Scale, and Multidimensional Scale Of Perceived Social Support were employed. The data were collected by the researcher through face-to-face interview technique between 01 March 2020 and 01 June 2020. In the analysis of the data, number, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t test, Mann-Whitney U Test, Pearson Correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were used. As a result the study, it was determined that primipara pregnant women obtained high mean scores from the Prenatal Breastfeeding Self Efficacy Scale and Multidimensional Scale Of Perceived Social Support. It was also determined that the primipara pregnant women were affected by four variables by 14%, which were the multidimensional Perceived Social Support Scale, family and friend support subscale, doctor support in pregnancy, and family support in pregnancy, that there was a positive relationship between the Prenatal Breastfeeding Self Efficacy and the Social Support in the pregnant women. As a result of the study, it was concluded that as the social support provided to pregnant women in the prenatal period increased, their breastfeeding self efficacy also increased. In order for pregnant women to have a successful breastfeeding process in the postpartum period, they should be provided with adequate social support in the prenatal period and their self efficacy should be increased. It can be recommended that in order to increase self efficacy levels of pregnant women, social support programs should be created in which nurses evaluate the thoughts and expectations of primipara pregnant women regarding birth, their social support status, and their prenatal breastfeeding self efficacy while providing care services.en_US
