dc.description.abstractŞubat 1979’da İran’da gerçekleşen Devrim, yönetici elitleri ve kurumları yenileriyle değiştirmiş bunun yanı sıra İran siyasetine egemen olan değerleri ve normları da derinden etkilemiştir. Devrimin doğurduğu yeni kurumlardan biri de devrimi ve kazanımlarını korumakla görevli, silahlı bir milis gücü olarak kurulan Devrim Muhafızları Ordusu olmuştur. Devrim Muhafızları, devrimci bir ordu olarak ortaya çıkmış ancak özellikle ekonomik ve siyasi alanda tanınan önemli imkân ve imtiyazlar ile zamanla muazzam bir güce kavuşmuştur. Çalışma kapsamında Devrim Muhafızları Ordusu’nun İran siyasal sistem içerisinde etkili bir güç haline gelmesinin arkasında yatan nedenler ve süreçler incelenmiştir. Devrim sonrası İran siyasetinde Devrim Muhafızları Ordusu’nun, İran siyasal sistemi içerisinde neden ve nasıl etkili bir siyasi aktör haline geldiği çalışmanın temel amacıdır. Devrim Muhafızları’nın İran siyasal sistemi içerisindeki rolünü anlamak için hem Devrim Muhafızları’nın özelliklerinin hem de ülke genelinde hâkim olan siyasi dinamiklerin göz önünde bulundurulması gerekmektedir.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe revolution that took place in Iran in February 1979, in addition to greatly impacting the values and norms that are sovereign to Iranian politics, saw change to the ruling elite and government organizations. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), an armed militia in charge of protecting the revolution and its achievements, is one of the organizations founded after the revolution. The IRGC emerged as a revolutionary army, however, in time with important opportunities and concessions, especially in the field of politics and economics attained great power. The underlying causes and processes of how the IRGC came to be an effective force in the Iranian political system has been examined within the scope of the study. The core purpose of the study is to investigate by what means and for what purpose the IRGC became an effective political agent in the post-revolutionary Iranian political system. To understand the role of the IRGC within the Iranian political system, the characteristics of the IRGC as well as the nationwide reigning political dynamics need to be taken into consideration.en_US
