dc.description.abstractTarih boyunca kentler birçok savaşa ev sahipliği yapmıştır. Bu savaşlar sırasında farklı nedenlerden dolayı kentsel mekânlar ve kent yaşantısı zarar görmüştür. 20. yüzyıldaki savaşlarda yaşanılan kentsel yıkımların savaşın ikincil zararından daha fazlasını ifade ettiği anlaşılmıştır. Bundan dolayı literatürde bu durumu tanımlamak için "kentkırım" kavramı kullanılmıştır. Literatürde kentkırım kavramının tanımlanması için ilk olarak incelenen savaş Bosna Hersek Savaşı olmuştur. Bu çalışmada ise Bosna Hersek Savaşında yapılan kentkırımın belgesellere nasıl yansıtıldığının tespit edilmesi ve "kentkrırım" kavramın belgesellerde kullanılıp kullanılmadığının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bosna Hersek Savaşı hakkında yayınlanan yerli ve yabancı belgesellerden 12 tanesi çalışmanın evrenini oluşturmaktadır. Bu belgeseller Türkçe ve İngilizce dillerinde yayınlanan belgeseller arasından seçilmiştir. Belgesel filmlerin içerik analizi sonucunda Bosna Hersek Savaşında etnik milliyetçilik nedeniyle kolektif hafızayı oluşturan kentsel mekânların yok edilmek istendiği dolaylı veya doğrudan aktarıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Fakat "kentkırım" kavramı Türk yapımı belgesellerde kullanılmamıştır. İngilizce dilinde yayınlanan belgeseller incelendiğinde ise "urbicide" kavramı sadece bir belgeselde kullanılmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractThroughout history, cities have hosted many wars. During these wars, urban spaces and urban life were damaged due to different reasons. It has been understood that the urban destruction experienced in the wars of the 20th century meant more than the secondary damage of the war. Therefore, the concept of "urbicide" has been used to describe this situation in the literature. The war in Bosnia and Herzegovina was the first war to be examined in order to define the concept of urban crimes. In this study, it is aimed to determine how urbancrimes in the Bosnia and Herzegovina War is reflected in documentaries and to examine whether the concept of "urbicide" is used in documentaries. 12 of the domestic and foreign documentaries published about the Bosnia and Herzegovina War form the universe of the study. These documentaries were selected from among the documentaries published in Turkish and English languages. As a result of the content analysis of the documentary films, it was determined that in the Bosnia and Herzegovina War, urban spaces that constitute the collective memory were intended to be destroyed, either indirectly or directly, due to ethnic nationalism. However, the concept of "urbicide" was not used in Turkish documentaries. When the documentaries published in English language are examined, the concept of "urbicide" was used only in one documentary.en_US
